Palm Springs RV Resort Campground is your perfect winter vacation
destination - golfer's paradise. Basecamp to many natural attractions.
Adult/Family Centers, billiards, pickleball, pool and much more!
The location is ideal, and it's one of the best TTs we've visited! Navigating around the campsite with our 41 ft fifth wheel was a bit challenging, but it's doable with a guide. We lodged on the park's rear side on the 50 amp section and thoroughly enjoyed it! The sites were well-maintained and paved, with beautiful landscaping. The pool and pickle ball courts were also top-notch! It's conveniently located near local points of interest, a 15-20 minute drive to stage coach and Coachella music festival venues, and about 1.5 hours to Joshua Tree National Park. Excellent service for T-mobile, Verizon, and Starlink. Would definitely return! Strongly recommend!

We enjoyed a comfortable fortnight at Palm Springs RV Resort in Palm Desert, California, thanks to our Thousand Trails membership that waived our nightly fee. Despite an initially stressful check-in, we found the park to be spacious, although navigating the narrow access roads was a bit challenging. While it may not be the most accommodating for larger vehicles, it is certainly manageable. The park operates on a first-come, first-serve basis, without designated assignments. Its proximity to local attractions and services is a major plus. Although there was some noise from the nearby Interstate 10 and train tracks, it wasn't a significant issue since our location was central. The laundry facilities were well-kept, with both washing and drying priced at 1.75 each. The pool area was excellent, maintaining an ideal temperature and furnished with ample lounge chairs. The park offered a variety of activities throughout the week, and the staff we had dealings with were affable and supportive. We would definitely consider a return visit. Highlights: Numerous activities, welcoming staff, superb pool area. Areas for improvement: Narrow access roads, ineffective enforcement of dog rules.

Certain areas of this recreational space are excellent while others are less so. Positives include a superb swimming pool and jacuzzi, amiable employees, numerous activities, a beautiful surrounding, warm climate, and well-maintained laundry facilities. However, negatives include difficulties in parking due to the attractive palm trees, so anticipate spending at least an hour locating and parking in a spot. Incidences of theft, particularly bicycles, have been reported by at least two families that we are aware of. Other issues include dust, sand, wind, narrow spaces due to tree presence, high footfall (which could be a positive or negative), a tiny dog park, and a closed and small playground that may be undergoing renovation. It's advised to drive slowly and have someone guide you while reversing around bends.

In my opinion, the Palm Desert/Palm Springs locale was fairly average. The main inconvenience was the frequent sand storms. On the positive side, it has a wonderful community atmosphere, an enjoyable pool space, reliable cellular reception, decent Wi-Fi connectivity in the pool zone, and a very hospitable team. On the downside, it's quite dusty, the 50-amp service was a bit strained, and I'm pleased we opted for a 30-amp pull through instead. It's not the best place for cycling outside the resort, and there's some noise from the highway and trains, but it's not too disturbing when you're inside the RV.

There are numerous activities to engage in every day. The location is right next to the highway, so there might be some traffic noise. However, staying a bit further away can mitigate this. All the 30 amp sites are designed for easy drive-through, which is convenient, and each one comes with a sewer connection. Both Tmobile and AT&T have excellent reception in the park, and the available Jabba wifi, which you can buy, offers seamless streaming. The pool is heated, allowing for swimming in any weather conditions. The hot tub is an added bonus. The park staff are excellent at communicating information and updates via text.

This location is ideal for those with a large number of children who enjoy biking and interacting with other campers, allowing them to freely roam the park in large groups. It's also a haven for pet owners who prefer not to clean up after their animals. However, if these scenarios don't apply to you, we wish you luck. The on-site spa is spacious, though the jets aren't fully functional. There's no gym available. However, its location in Palm Springs offers plenty of opportunities to explore the town. The pool is generously sized and heated, and the staff is diligent about sending daily text updates regarding on-site activities.

The larger sites, accommodating only 30amp, are drive-through. The park itself is spacious, providing ample space for walking. We had a strong Verizon signal. We didn't encounter any issues since we use Verizon's internet box. The laundry room operates on Wash Connect, but their app was not satisfactory, necessitating the purchase of a $5 card for loading. The shower facilities, which we briefly inspected, were clean and modern. The staff was amicable. The park is conveniently located near Palm Springs and excellent dining options. On the downside, the park was excessively dusty - some might call it sandy. It was omnipresent. Every time our dogs went outside, we had to clean their paws. Despite having an RV mat, it was in a dirty state. The park was littered with stickers, causing our dogs to get burrs stuck in their paws.

This is one of our favorite Thousand Trails parks. It is open seasonally, and closes down in the summer as it doubles as a date farm. The date palms line the rows and give the park a beautiful appearance. The downside of the palms is that it can be a bit tricky to navigate your rig into your space, but we have a 42 foot fifth wheel and have been doing it just fine for years. The sites are in sand/dirt so be sure you bring an outdoor mat or you will be sweeping a lot! We love coming here because the pool area is very nice, the pickle ball courts are good, they always have kids activities in the clubhouse, and everyone seems very welcoming and active in this park. Unfortunately, theft from people sneaking into the park at night has been a problem in the past, so always lock up your bikes! High end bikes seem to be the thing that the thieves like to steal. There are some sites closer to the busy road and you will get more road noise if you park closer to the front of the park. We prefer to drive back further into the park, which almost completely eliminates the road noise. Despite the few negatives, the beautiful setting and all the positives far outweigh the downsides and we love coming here!

Showers in pool area taped off and non functioning our entire stay. Kids in hot tub all day and night. Pit bull on long chain lunging full speed at walkers at night, only to get yanked at the last second by the chain that you can’t see… total heart attack. One guest set up a professional grade PA system and sang karaoke… if there are rules they are not enforced. Entrance is easily missed. The trees are nice but can make it difficult for all but moderate to small rigs. But again, they are really nice to see. Location is convenient to lots of great dining. Occasional waft of really bad sewer air. Some noise from trains and traffic but not bad if you are parked to the East and north. Staff was very helpful upon arrival.

So the park was great, good people nice amenities, but the internet service was really bad, full bars but for some reason, every day at noon, T-mobile and ATT would go down to virtually 0mbps. every day for two weeks and on the weekends it would be gone the whole day. if you need it for work I would be cautious.

Great Location but Tight and Crowded... Very nice except for tightness and crowded. Nice staff. First night we found no spots to fit our coach. The park is divided into 30 amp pull throughs in the western and 50 amp back ins in the eastern sections. Management keeps 3 reserved pull throughs that have easy access reserved for late arrivals so that they are not driving around in the dark. Very dangerous to do so in this park with the date palms and tight turns. We used one of the reserved spots the first night and snagged a nice 30 amp pull through the next morning. The streets are one way except for the entrance and perimeter streets (in a figure eight layout). Cell signal is great but there is congestion during peak hours with so many cellular users.

The is a beautiful Thousand Trails RV Resort in Palm Springs, California! The park is large, very spacious and so clean! The gorgeous Palm trees are a little bit of a parking hazard, but they were here before we were! ð And besides, they are so beautiful to look at every day. The park feels like a day on beach with white sand to park on in most spaces, towering Palm trees, and brightly colored tropical flowers. What a treat in the winter! We are here in November and December and daytime high’s are in the low 80’s. The park is split in half with one side 30 amp FHU and the other half 50 amp FHU. For TT members, there is not an additional charge for 50 amp. Quite a deal! There is plenty of room to get out and walk in this park, along with a nice dog park, playground, billiards room, swimming pool and spa, horseshoes, 8 pickle ball courts, many laundry rooms and restrooms, and community recreation room. The surrounding mountains ranges are pretty amazing, too. This park is close to it all in the Palm Springs area and everything is within a short drive. Joshua Tree National Park and the Salton Sea is just over a half hour away. The Thousand Trails Palm Springs RV Resort is perfect and we will definitely be visiting again! If it weren't for the palm trees, this park would be much better. Getting into the park and spot was kind of a nightmare. There are palm trees dividing every spot, and with a bigger rig, it would be very easy to scrape your rig just turning down the various lanes. If at all possible, either unhitch or go walk to find a spot because the lanes are super narrow. If you aren't extremely comfortable backing your rig in, just go left when you enter straight towards the 30 amp pull throughs. The 50 amps are all back ins. Otherwise, the park is in a good location. There is some road noise, but it's close to palm springs, about an hour from Joshua Tree NP and you can get mail delivered with the usual extra fee TT's usually have. They also have a full schedule of activities and a nice pool. Once you get over parking, it's not a bad place for free.

This was our second Thousand Trails and we had a really nice time. The staff were friendly as were the other campers and the park is cute if a bit cramped. The laundry facilities were nice and never too crowded and the location was pretty convenient. We really enjoyed the pool. We were lucky enough to score a paved spot near the back corner of the 50 amp section. It had a bit more privacy due to the landscaping and sand wasn’t so much of an issue. It did slope in a way that made getting our sewer set up properly a bit of a challenge. It was also a bit challenging to get to that part of the park as the turns are very tight due to the trees. We’re in a 40 ft fifth wheel pulled by a long bed dually for reference. The location is very convenient to the cottonwood entrance at Joshua Tree (about 30 min away). We love this area and will definitely stay here again. ATT was a bit challenging, but T-Mobile was better for us.

The first thing to know about this place is that there are 2 distinct RV sections. 30 amp pull-through sites are located to the left and 30/50 amp back-in sites are to the right. We chose the latter as it was 95 degrees outside and we wanted to be able to run our 2 A/C units simultaneously. There is no extra charge to use the 50 amp section. Site #288 was relatively level and quite spacious. Sites on this side are sandy so it has somewhat of a beach feel. Winds can be super strong so be careful with your awning! Restroom C was clean and well maintained. Loved the white recycling bins. We interacted with multiple staff members throughout the park and everyone was great. Pool was open but guests have to register for a 1 hour timeslot. Recreation lodge was open from 8:00am to 3:00pm and it even includes a small library. Very cool! We were able to program 50+ over the air TV channels including all of the major networks. My AT&T phone had 2 bars and the hotspot worked ok. Paid wifi is available but the signal is pitifully weak. Park is close to groceries and many other shopping/restaurant options. Joshua Tree National Park is about 45 minutes away. TIP: if you have an RV + tow vehicle then gas up at the Flying J located at 72235 Varner Rd about 6 miles away. There is a long RV friendly lane with unleaded gas on the left side of the tractor trailer fueling area. Pump # 13. Easy to negotiate if you can't back up. The Flying J app doesn't say that there are RV fuel lanes at this location so we were pleasantly surprised to find one.

Overall nice stay! The sand got a little old, but it’s the desert. The pool was really nice, and heated. I usually don’t get in pools because they are too cold, but this one I could stay in all day. Staff was very nice, and the park was clean. They also had daily activities for kids in the rec area. The only bad thing I’d say is it was hard for us to get into a spot due to the palm trees making most spots a tight fit. We had to try several spots, and that part was stressful. Other than that we enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. The pool and jacuzzi are open! Our daughter enjoyed the pool daily. You'll need to sign up daily for an hour at the pool with the Check in desk. They even had activities for fun. This resort is next to the freeway and had excellent cell coverage with Verizon and Tmobile. The only downside to staying here is the constant trains that come every hours daily...
