Arrived Sunday afternoon at about 5 pm. Just with tow vehicle, no camper, inquiring about rates for the night. Was told $165 per night for an “Executive” site. My toy hauler is 41’ long, plus long bed duality tow vehicle, so needed a long site. Was shocked at the daily rate, especially after seeing the narrow entrance, narrow access “roads” in the park, the many, many rental cabin sites, and the very ordinary amenities. NOT a $165/day (+12% tax) park. There were 4 EX sites, none occupied, and many other vacant RV sites. After paying, returned at 6 pm with entire rig and set up in site EX3. Not enough length for truck and 41’ 5th wheel, but could park tow vehicle sideways behind the camper barely clear the access road for other traffic. Next day was working on setting up new rig, saw I wouldn’t be able to finish by 11 am check out time. Went to manager to offer to pay an extra fee to stay until 6 pm, giving me time to finish sorting out the new rig, She gave me the OK to stay until 6 pm for another $20, but any longer would entail another full days payment. I agreed. But at 4 pm, after a few drive-by visits from the golf cart enforcement guy, the office called and wanted full payment for another $165 + 12% right then. I was nearly finished rigging the camper, but was tired and decided to stay until next morning anyway. Before 11 am next morning went to office to report I would be leaving within 1/2 hour. All seemed OK. But while in the office I picked up the printed price sheet to get rates on their cabins in case my daughters family might have an interest. Got hooked up, departed, but at a lunch stop read over the printed rate sheet. Discover the actual rate for any of the EX sites, effective January 2021, was “only” $90 per night!! Extra charges for more than 1 vehicle and other restrictions, but I had 1, vehicle, one dog, and 1 person, so no extra charges were applicable. Called to ask why they charged me $165 Vs the printed rate of $90. Answer: “supply and demand“ and “ You looked like you could afford it!””. I mentioned all the vacant sites, and asked for the $84 per night overcharge (including the 12% sales tax) to be refunded to the credit card used for the original charge. She said she could not do that, but would have Assistant Manager “Dee Dee” call me the next day. Received no call, and no refund reflected on credit card, even after 5 days since request. So filed a dispute with the CC and will see how it works out. Would not recommend this park unless you are in a pinch for an RV site and get a copy of the printed price sheet and do not rely on anything the staff tells you. I did not use the website but have looked at it since leaving. It shows same rates as printed rate sheet, but caveat that rates.
