We enjoyed our stay! We had everything we needed but the sewer hookup. With just a two day stay it was fine and the dump station was conveniently located near the exit. We didn’t use the bath houses so can’t comment on that. Easy to get to this campground as it is right off of 40. Cell service was slow. Texting worked.

We stayed two nights at #45. The site was well shaded and rather private. However, it was a huge challenge to get into our campsite. I was told to go in the wrong way of a one way street because how are site was situated. I was also cautioned that several people bottom out their camper on the steep grade that’s found at this part of the campground. Luckily, I took the turn wide and had no problems with scraping up our camper, but it was very difficult to back our camper in on such a steep grade and rather narrow road. The area itself is rather nice. There are quite a lot of fishermen that visit the area and boat noise started at dawn. The restrooms are adequate and the shower seems to only be one (rather warm) temperature. There are other spots that look good, but there are also several sites that are parallel to the campground road that I would avoid.

We stayed here as we were passing through going west on I40. This location provides a very short access to and from I40. This was not the best maintained TVA site, but to be fair it was pouring rain 90% the entire time we were there so a lot of water was running about. There are some very nice sites in this campground and there are some that are quite narrow and tight. Our site 24 was one of these perched up on a hill. We could barely get our rig out of the roadway way and our door opened right into the roadway. Needless to say we could put our awning out. Still, because of its access to I40, we would stay here again and try to find a more traditional site than number 24. If there weren't a 2-night minimum, I would really highly recommend this is as an overnight spot. With the two night minimum make sure the site you pick will accommodate your rig. For the most part this is a tight campground and not really big rig friendly. Still, I would stay here again if I could get unto the right site.

We only stayed one night so they would not let us reserve a spot and they put us in an area reserved for overnighters which meant we were on the side of a road. The roads were all narrow, people were on top of each other and signage was confusing. For those with children, it's probably great because there is a swimming area. There is a boat launch area and the lake is beautiful.

We have the America the Beautiful pass and received our site for $20. I can't say enough good things about this campground. Sites are spacious and shaded with level gravel pads, firepits, grills, plastic covered picnic tables, and lantern hanging posts. Views of the lake were beautiful. Hosts Buster and Claudia were gracious, knowledgeable, and so much help to us newbie RVer's. The tent campsites were so nice and all lakeside, almost made me wish we still had tents. The bathhouses were spotless and updated. There is so much to do here: fishing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming. Close to I-40 and close enough to Knoxville and Pigeon Forge to do daytrips easily. There is a general store on-site with everything from toothpaste to fishing gear. We have already made plans to come back here in the fall.

Very convenient to the interstate. Numerous sites just above dam. Although you can hear the hum of the dam operations, the campground was very quiet. We even had some deer by our site. Nice little beach and boating area. Also had a clean dump station. Staff was super friendly.. I would Definitely stay again if passing thru area.
