In this footage, we guide you through Florida's Lake Kissimmee State Park. Come along with us as we explore Lake Kissimmee State Park's features and facilities, highlighting the distinctive Cow Camp and showcasing the top camping spots within the park's campground. The Cow Camp and a touch of classic Florida allure make this park worth visiting. We measured AT&T mobile service at 17.6 Mbps for downloads and 0.86 Mbps for uploads. We only had a single bar of LTE for Verizon and T-Mobile, and both carriers failed the speed test due to weak signal strength.

We booked site 23, but when we arrived the next day (10 days post Hurricane Ian) site 23 was halfway flooded. The rangers knew it was flooded but someone forgot to take it off the website. They moved us to site 14. 23 is a wider and more private spot, but site 14 was deep and was a bit of a deer highway, so we enjoyed it. It was a bit tricky to back into site 14 with 2 vehicles at site15, so we asked them to move their car for a moment, same thing when we departed. Site 17 beside us was actually set up so the camper is parallel to the road, and there is no vegetation between site 14 & 17, so we were fully open to their area. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the canal on the bridge. The view from the observation deck was lovely. We didn't really venture out onto any trails as we were told that most were still wet from the hurricane. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the two campground loops, as well as the 6 mile round trip to the front gate. The airboats are a slight nuisance to listen to during the day, but were downright annoying at night on Friday. Sounds like we are camped (in a camper!) next to either an airport or a drag racing strip, with the incessant revving of the noisy engines, well into the 2am 3am hours. BRING EARPLUGS! Saturday night things were quieter after maybe midnight. Overall a nice place to stay, hike and fish. Bring what you need, it's pretty far from stores. Beware of caterpillars March-April! I have a subsidiary of AT&T and I was able to get texts and scroll the news websites.

We have camped at Lake Kissimmee State Park many times now, and we have a wonderful experience each and every visit. The Rangers are always friendly and helpful, and the Campground hosts are welcoming as well. The bathrooms are always clean. The park is all that we look for in a camping experience, quiet, abundant wildlife, plenty of hiking opportunities, and a place where we can unplug. If quiet, nature, and friendly staff are your priorities, then this is the place for you 😊

Really off the beaten path. 30 minutes from ANYTHING. We typically like parks like this. Site 19 was very tight, hard to back in to. Power was awful. Had the electricians out to check the box, but the park is just in need of an electric overhaul. They blamed Low voltage across the park- this site was 116 volts. Surge protecter showed reverse polarity, Appears it was reacting to low voltage. Pedestal Breaker was tripping, microwave would not work, site was covered in caterpillars, dropping all over the site constantly. Low water pressure. Site was very unlevel, my red blocks could only get to .75 off level right to left. We have camped in a decent number of State Parks- we prefer them. But we wont be back to this one. Probably good for tent camping and small RVs. We are 30’, and needed more power than was available.

I’m surprised by the negative reviews. Although this park was somewhat out of the way, we thought it was quiet and enjoyable. We had a nice site with plenty of room. Most sites were taken but everyone was really nice, not loud or anything. We enjoyed walking around the park and seeing some cool wildlife. Not really any wifi at the sites, but sometimes that’s fine with us!

DO NOT come here it’s in the middle of a swamp FAR from anything with loud airboats all the time. The place is filthy with no cell service and bad tV reception. To tight for RV. You’ll damage your rig!!!!

Really nice park with fishing and hiking options available. Camp Mack is really close and they have pontoon boat rentals available.

Lost one star because absolutely no Verizon service. Traveled all continuous United States and never been without service even as far north as Lake of the Woods, Minnesota, this park has no nearby cell tower. So if your planning to work remotely it’ll be a frustrating experience. Campground was great, sites are super spacious, all Rangers were friendly & Camp Hosts were equally friendly and the bath house facilities were exceptionally clean.

Very pretty old Florida setting with big oak trees and Spanish moss, palmetto understory. Most sites are private such as 44, some wide open to neighbor such as 42. Lots of mosquitos even in the dry winter season. Also lots of caterpillars devouring oak leaves above my RV creating a "rain" of leaf debris and caterpillar poop. So not nice to sit out, and most folks did not. Verizon cell 1 bar and slow, sometimes no service. 20-30-50 amp electric but 108 volts during 88 degree afternoons. Water pressure and quality was fine. Dump station easy to use. Air boat noise at times from nearby boat launch and from the lake itself. Isolated location down winding roads, far from services and sights. Example: 2.6 miles to campground from gate on a bumpy but paved 15mph road. Airboats and gators would make kayaking unpleasant, and there is a fairly long canal to open lake. Most campers were quiet. Roads are tight with turns and trees for campers over 35'. 30 minutes to Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, 50 minutes to Polk County History Center in Bartow. Might stay again, but would prefer a more central location in Polk County such as Bartow or Winter Haven.
