In general, our stay at this location was quite enjoyable. The park is pleasant, although the amount of litter scattered about was unexpected. The restrooms were impressively clean, despite being somewhat distant from our spot. The setup for utilities was inconveniently located at the back of our spot, which was a bit of a challenge for me as a compact camper with not-so-long connectors. I didn't connect the water due to a leak that needs fixing. The facilities are commendable, including a playground, a bounce pad, an arcade, a camp store, and a kayak launch. There's a water park nearby, but it was shut for the season. The facilities are all placed near the entrance of the park, not exactly in the middle. The park has a vast number of cabins, rentable RVs, luxury camping tents, etc., and it appeared that most guests preferred these to the RV spots. The noise level was higher than what I'm accustomed to, with dogs barking and televisions on high volume. I'm not a fan of their rule against setting up tents on RV spots. Our spot had ample space for a tent, and as a small-size camper, setting up a tent is my only option to accommodate more than two guests (each spot can host up to six guests). The WiFi signal was inconsistent and tended to weaken as you moved away from the main building.

Stayed at a Sun Outdoors campground in a 38' Fleetwood Discovery RV. Wouldn't recommend visiting outside of summer due to lack of activities. The campground has narrow roads and cramped spaces. Despite its downsides, it's not a terrible camping spot. However, it's a bit too costly for my liking, with a two-night stay costing over $350. It was my first visit and I wasn't provided with any guidance to my site, which is apparently not customary here. Navigating past vehicles, bicycles, children, and farming equipment to reach my spot was quite challenging in a 38' RV. On reaching our spot (Site 268), parking was complicated but was made easier with assistance from our neighbours. The campground is well-maintained but overcrowded, with tent campers freely roaming through our site. On the plus side, it's conveniently located near Chincoteague's attractions. The kids had a great time on the waterslides and despite the crowd, the place was surprisingly quiet. There were some activities available but we didn't participate due to family visits. If the nightly rate was under $100, I would've rated it 4 or 5 stars. Sun Outdoors needs to reconsider their pricing. If you're going to spend this much, you might as well opt for their other sites in Ocean City, MD like Castaways or FrontierTown.

Stayed during the Labor Day weekend. Very crowded but that’s to be expected on a holiday weekend. Camped in our travel trailer on a pull through gravel site with full hook ups plus the site had concrete pad with table and chairs. Sites are very close together so do not expect any kind of privacy. We were expecting a shaded site per the website but there was none so it was unbearable to sit outside until dusk and the website said that the site would have a chiminea which it didn’t. WiFi was extremely slow so we ended up using our phones as hotspots. If you have kids there’s a water park and bounce pad that looks like fun. There are many good places to eat if you’re looking for food. The park is close enough to ride bikes to Assateague Island to see the ponies and go to the beach. That’s the best part imo about camping here. You can also kayak from the camp ground

My kids had a great time at the water park. The water park is not included but you do get a discount if you’re camping at yogi. Make sure to bring your bug spray but that’s everywhere down here not just this park. The water pressure here is very low, I first thought it was my regulator so I took it off and still very low water pressure. The septic tanks here are pumped out by a truck. I’ve noticed a septic smell throughout the camper for about 15 mins after I dump my black tank. Not a big deal but just a heads up. I think this has to do with the park septic system being stored in “tanks” that are pumped. Staff that I encountered were helpful and nice. Wi-Fi was spotty as I’ve seen pretty much anywhere we’ve camped. Bathrooms and showers throughout the park were clean and well kept.

We came just as the camping season began and a week before the water park opened so the campground was not busy at all! The staff was really friendly and worked with us to get my parents in the camp site right next to ours. We stayed in the wooded so there was plenty of shade and the trees helped breakup and slow down the winds. The site itself as nothing special. We where camping in the trees so some sites where level and some where not even close. It was a hit or a miss on what site you got so bring plenty of stuff to level your rig. All things considered we would stay here again. It’s close to the park and beach and the kids had fun. We also came durning the very beginning of the season. So once summer hits and the campground along with the water park fill up, I’m sure it’s a different experiences.

This is a newly converted park from a KOA so everything is fresh and new. Signage, bathrooms, laundry, and store are all very well maintained. The site was a fairly level gravel pad with concrete patio and new chairs and table. The hookups were standard but beware this rows spigots were set very low to the ground such that regulators couldn’t be used. So, we dug a hole so we could. Very poor design. The park is located very close to the national park which makes it ideal base camp. The town is cute and has lots of good restaurants. We were there off season so many places were closed. The park offers bike rentals so you can bike tour the park. We did all the trails in a day… about 10 miles worth. The park offered brand new golf carts to get around in the park, which was both fun and convenient. There are age restrictions of 18 but not many people observed it and park staff were not overly aggressive with enforcing it. By Friday the park filled up! But we didn’t feels that we were crowded. There were lots of kids having fund as well as a bunch of dogs. So, if you’re looking for a quiet off grid experience, this isn’t the place. We personally enjoyed all the laughter and parents observed quiet hours. A few rookies walked through our camp site which we addressed quickly. They just didn’t know and were respectful. Finally, the staff here are great!! Very helpful with great personalities. There wasn’t anything they were not willing to help with. We would stay here again for sure.

This is our second year staying here for a week long family vacation. It is a clean and well maintained campground. The back-in RV sites are not exceptional (some are narrower than others and they would be better if regraded with some fresh gravel for the RV to sit on) but they are fine considering the other benefits of staying at this campground (close to beach access, water park, town amenities, etc.). There are plenty of kids activities and the pier is also fun for the kids. The pool needs an overhaul but it was clean.

The park staff were very helpful and everything was clean. The setting is too suburban for me and the RV spots are quite busy. If you want to stay here, book a tent site back by the marsh where it would feel like camping. There will be no hook ups and it will be far from the bathroom but your view will be much more pleasant and much less busy.
