Locating the place wasn't a problem. The FF-designated areas were somewhat compact, especially the pads, but they could accommodate our 22 ft vehicle. The pre-booked spots were evidently designed for larger vehicles and were occupied during the weekend. The areas were well-kept with fire pits and tables, and some even offered shade. Unfortunately, Angel Lake was not open during our visit. There were restrooms without water, but drinking water was accessible, although it hadn't been tested yet. We spent two enjoyable nights there and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We camped here so we could drive up to Angel Lake and hike. The drive up to Angel Lake was not recommended by other users for large rigs, which we can confirm unless you knew you had a reserved site at Angel Lake to fit your rig. There were a couple of larger rigs up there, but to get there you will need to use the full road to maneuver around some of the corners. Drop-offs are severe. Angel Creek is close to Wells, NV where you can dump, fill up with fuel, and buy groceries. All of which we needed to do. It is also within driving distance to the ghost town of Metropolis. An interesting place to visit. It didn’t appear that the campground host stays in the campground, only services it, which she does a nice job and is friendly. We dated in the lower loop which was full on the weekend, but the campground never fully filled. We setup our cell booster and had 2-3 bars LTE on Verizon and 4 bars LTE on T-Mobile. Internet was slow but eventually worked.

We have stayed here three times so far as a place to stay as we go through Nevada. It is a really nice, clean, quiet campground that is high enough to escape the heat of the valley. We have a small trailer, so some of the sites are too small and better suited for a tent. The scenery is beautiful with lots of wild flowers. There is an occasional cow inhabiting a campsite, but they haven't been a problem. Reservations are advised as it does fill up on weekends.

Stayed in the double campsite because it had the best view of the mountains. It had a nice secluded area bordered by aspens and brush. Sadly, there was a bit of garbage, including cigarette buttes.

About 8 miles of the main highway. Easy drive for our little Tacoma. Its quiet, there are aspen trees, views of the mountains and million stars at night.Air Smells foresty and fantastic! We saw rabbits, an adorable family of quail, and possibly a marmot on the way ip to see the lake. I only got 1 bar of ATT. The vault toilet was very clean! Campendium said $0 but there is a camp host and a $17 fee.

We needed a place for the night and thought Alamo Casino was awful! So, drove the 8 miles out of town to this beautiful campground. Aspens everywhere with pretty views. We were the only ones in the campground, including no host (Monday night in late September). Sites were mostly level. Bathrooms were open and there was water. We had 1-2 bars ATT

stopped one night here on our way thru nevada. arrived around 7pm and there were still quite a few spots available. we were in spot #18, which is apparently usually booked. it was gorgeous and pretty level, tucked away from other sites in an aspen grove. the campground is pretty minimal with vault toilets and a water pump. google maps tried to take us up a crazy dirt road that connected to 231, it’s pretty obvious when you see it, but don’t take it and go a bit further and there are signs for angel lake. we had no issues in our ‘92 camper van. we loved it and would absolutely stop here again.

Great spot, originally was gonna find disperse camping but decided to check if there were any open spot and was pleasantly surprised to find one just before sunset. Fee is $17 cash only for solo. I had a $20 bill and had to fork over the three extra bucks because they didn’t have change. Firewood is available for like 5 or 6 bucks. Each site has a fire pit, bench, a spot for a car, and a spot for a tent. There are bathrooms (no sink). They’ve got some running water as well.
