An old timber-mill site in the flat hung valley of the Mackenzie River, above Mackenzie Falls. Good shade provided by pines and Stringybark, surrounded by a Stringybark forest with a thick understory of tea tree. Can be popular, sharing of fireplaces may be necessary. Tap & 'bush shower'. Rated 3.

Situated on a flat plain above the Glenelg RiverMost sites are segregated by bush, reasonably level and well grassed (mown by kangaroos). Bush setting with plenty of shade from Brown Stringybark Gum and wattle. Spring brings wildflowers and orchids.

A very quiet forested camp near a lovely beach. Situated in tall forest 500m from a small cove and behind a rocky, heath covered headland. Specific sites are reasonably separated by bush. Good shade from tall Silvertop Ash and Red bloodwood with a thin understory of melaleuca and scrub.

An unusual site, being located inside a volcano crater. The pine tree covered crater rim provides good wind protection. A range of mainly exotic trees provide ample shade and, together with short green grass, a park-like atmosphere. Bird life is limited.

A spacious reserve backed by the steep granite slopes of Mount Korong (364m). The small quiet picnic area (1 table) is level, grassed over granite with thin shade from a couple of large Yellow Gum and surrounded by wattle scrub. Rated 4.
