Welcome to Wombleton

Wombleton Caravan Park is nestled between the North Yorkshire Moors and the East Coast resorts, in the heart of Ryedale and North Yorkshire.

The Willoughby family has independently run the park between 2002 and today, and they continue to increase visitors to the caravan park by providing a 5 Star site with amenities for all campers.

Whether you are a seasoned caravanner, motorhome owner, all weather tenter, novice with newly acquired caravan, or campervan tourer, there’s a pitch for you at Wombleton.

The park boasts both gravel and grass pitches for caravans, hard standing pitches for motorhomes and campervans, along with a tent field and grass pitches for tents.

Electric hook-ups are available to all caravans, motorhomes, and campervans. Tenters have a choice of either taking a pitch with electric or without.

The park has 118 caravan pitches, 6 motorhome and campervan pitches, and 17 tent pitches. The modern, exceptionally clean toilet and shower block, private disabled/family shower room, washing-up facility, and laundry room with iron, ironing board, microwave, fridge and freezer is within a short walking distance of each pitch.

The Willoughby family offer campers the chance to purchase general groceries, including food and drink plus bathroom essentials, caravan accessories, gas exchange, and barbecue charcoal along with single-use throwaway barbecue grills from the reception shop, during opening hours. The reception shop freezers are stocked with seasonal produce from frozen veg and chips to local burgers and bread, plus a wide selection of ice creams. Local sausages, bacon and eggs can be bought daily along with fresh milk.

Located next to the reception shop is the park’s information centre and lending library, where all brochures, event flyers, and local area activity posters can be found. A number of books, board games and DVD’s are offered complimentary to those wanting to borrow something from the library.

We actively encourage guests to make use of our recycling facilities, which are located around the park within easy reach of all pitches.

We offer a high speed Wi-Fi service across the park, codes can be purchased from reception at a small charge.

Families are very welcome at Wombleton Caravan Park, though please be aware that we do not permit cycling or ball games on site as we are a 5* quiet park, and we don’t have a designated play area for children. Wombleton village has an excellent playground with swings, slide, seesaw and much more plus a cricket pavilion, tennis courts, and football pitch.

We are a dog friendly caravan park, and we offer fresh water outside the shop for thirsty dogs, and we have a designated doggy shower plus special ‘poo’ bins. We ask all dog owners to keep dogs on a short lead at all times and that they are exercised in the designated areas off the park

Please note that we do not accept commercial vehicles or paneled vans, do ring us for more information about this and how we may be able to still accommodate you without the need for your commercial vehicle onsite.

Debit cards are accepted at Wombleton. We do not accept American Express, and credit cards.

We are open from the 1st March until 31st October annually, and we also offer a winter storage facility.
