We arrived to around 6pm to find most sites open. The campground was quite and we had part of it to ourselves. The facilities could use some cleaning and maintenance.

We were at the nearby KOA which was not at all what we wanted so we left and came here. It's a beautiful and quiet county campground with good sized sites, water and electric plus a dump station. We didn't use the bathrooms but they looked updated. Sites are a bit hard to back into as they aren't angled but otherwise a great stay. We would certainly stay here again on our way through town.

We came in on a Tuesday afternoon. No one else here. They have 24 sites, we reserved online (campground is reservation only). We did not see a park ranger or anyone else. There is a walking path that goes from the campground to a canoe launch about a half-mile away. The area is very well maintained. A bit pricy for dry camping, but we did find a nice pile of wood at our site when we arrived! Not sure if it was the previous campers or the park ranger who left it. Close to the road so you can hear traffic, but feels secluded and tucked away amongst the trees.
