For several years, Wawaloam has been our camping spot of choice, and we've recently become seasonal campers in 2022. We firmly believe there's no superior campsite in New England, and certainly not in Rhode Island. The Smiths and their team are welcoming, wonderful individuals who go the extra mile to ensure your camping adventure here is exceptional. Like any well-managed campsite, there are rules in place to maintain safety and happiness for everyone. Adhere to these guidelines and you'll encounter no issues. There's a range of activities for all ages, and events such as the 4th of July fireworks, Halloween weekend, and Christmas Festival of Lights are spectacular. (Note that the campsite closes in late October, and the Festival of Lights is a standalone seasonal event) The majority of the plots are quite spacious, particularly when compared to other campsites we've visited. The shop is well-stocked, offering the finest ice cream and snacks. The campsite is consistently clean. The Friday evening meals at the pavilion are as tasty, if not tastier than the meals at local eateries, (They even offer dinner delivery to your site) and there's an excellent coffee bar in the store, sourcing coffee beans from a local roaster. Be wary when using mobile navigation maps. I've heard that some may provide incorrect directions, leading you to the rear of the campsite where there's no entrance. I suggest entering the actual address, rather than the campsite name, to avoid this issue.

Wawaloam campground has very large sites. The grounds are exceptionally clean. Friendly staff. Large splash pad area for children, water slide, and large pool. Reasonable rates.

This place has the most amazing fire pits you’ll ever see! It’s a beautiful campground, very big rig friendly, large sites, some shaded some not. Picnic tables in each. A lot of seasonal sites here and activities for the family. My only complaint is a 3:00 check in time with a $10 per hour charge if you arrive before that time!

Personnel are friendly. Grounds well kept. I didn’t go into facilities due to Wuhan Flu, but noticed regular cleaning. Pool, separate water slide pool, mini golf, splash pad, basketball, fishing and fields for playing. Our site full hookup. Other campers respectful of noise and social distancing as well as can be in campground setting. Only thing that MIGHT improve stay would be to have all activities open throughout the day as opposed to being staggered.
