The majority of the campground is dedicated to seasonal lot owners. The area for transients is large and mostly away from the seasonal lots making it a quiet location. The sites are well spaced and somewhat level. The pads are a ix of grass and hard packed gravel. The sites are a combination of electric and water or F/U. The seem to all be 30amp. F/H sewage connection is a bizarre two connection affair. The instructions are: "For the duration of your stay, connect to the gray water pipe and leave the gray valve open so water 'trickles' into the pipe. If you dump it will backup and flow out onto the ground. When ready to dump your black tanks, transfer the connection to the black sewage pipe and do your dump." The gray is leached into the ground, whereas the black gets dumped into a buried 55 gallon plastic drum. If the campground doesn't pump it out after the previous guests leave then you're liable to fill it up requiring a visit to the office to request pump out. Ask me how I know that... Despite that, this is still a nice campground. The town of Wales has nothing to offer other than a lakeside tavern 2 minutes away featuring an great menu and good beer choices. Old Sturbridge Village is 15 minutes away. My T-Mobile 5G hotspot averaged 30-50mbps down, so quite adequate. The campground has WiFi but I didn't use it. The laundry has three each washers and dryers at $2.00 each.
