Twin Bridges Meadow Family Campground

1345 Twin Bridge Road
17201, Chambersburg
Pennsylvania, the United States

Our campground is located in historic Franklin County in the heart of Cumberland Valley. Campsites are located along a creek running through a picturesque meadow where two streams – Back Creek and Dennis Creek – come together, requiring a Twin Bridge. Located off the main traffic routes, campsites are quiet and relaxing, yet easily accessible by paved roads. Twin Bridge Family Campground is nestled in an area surrounded by farmland, conveniently only 1 mile away from Route 30.

Our experience at this location was delightful. It boasts a vast selection of spots to pick from. Our selected spot only had water and electricity, but the dump station was adequate and included robust sewer hoses for easy connection. They also provide honey wagon services for extended stays. The personnel were exceptional and actively participated in the campsite activities. This campsite is fantastic for everyone, especially children! Some spots are forested and adjacent to a stream, providing a more natural park ambiance, while others are situated in a conventional RV park environment (essentially a large open field with numerous RV spots), so it entirely depends on your camping preference. Although the campsite gives off a remote vibe, all necessities are conveniently located within a short distance.

Twin Rivers has put significant funds into creating a top-notch camping adventure. The campsite is neat, suitable for children, and has been meticulously planned. Starting from $45, rates are applicable from May 2023 onwards. There's a diverse range of locations to choose from, whether you prefer shaded areas near the fishing creek or open spaces for group camping. Numerous creative play areas are available for children. The showers and toilets are kept clean. EXCELLENT VALUE!

See uploaded video for more info. We stayed a week in this park, Oct 9 - 16, 2021 as a base to visit Gettysburg and an area state park. This park was extremely busy on the weekends and nice and quiet during the week. Our site did not have a sewer connection but they did offer a honey wagon service if staying a week or longer. Overall good stay for the price--allowed us to visit Gettysburg without the price of that area.

While sites by the river are a little better with some trees, they are still so close it is hard to tell where one begins and the other ends. The open field area is not inviting at all. There is electricity but no water on site. For the price, I certainly expected more. My site had a big mud hole in front to drive through.
