Initially, I believed I was reserving a spot in the same RV park we had previously stayed at. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my error! The campground is spacious, evoking memories of state parks from years past. Some spots even offer breathtaking views. The tranquility is palpable. At first, I was concerned about leveling our RV as our spot was on a steep slope. However, leveling was a breeze and required no side-to-side adjustments. The park is impeccably clean and well-maintained. According to the owner, they've been running the place for seven years. They also offer a laundry facility, so remember to bring change (the office can provide some if open). Tents are permitted and there are restrooms, showers, and a communal gathering area. My photos don't do justice to the abundance of trees in the park. Internet is available, but it may not be reliable for heavy-duty tasks or streaming, though we encountered no problems. I get a solid 3 bars on AT&T and have had no issues with email, texting, or phone calls. It's a short 15-minute drive to Cortez, where you'll find a Safeway, several gas stations, and restaurants, and a bit further to Mesa Verde National Park. The owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were so enamored with the place that we extended our stay. There's also a trail about a mile long starting from the park. We'll certainly return during our next trip through the area.

The View, a high-end RV park, is situated near Cortez and Delores, offering easy access to Mesa Verde and Canyon of the Ancients. It caters to RVs of all sizes, providing a diverse range of spots. The washrooms, shower facilities, and laundry areas are well-maintained and modern. Matt, the owner, is a friendly and sociable person who is always ready to recommend local attractions and activities. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it by a night.

This is a great place. Host Matt was super personable and helpful. We had a great site (44) for a smaller rig (camper van) with a spectacular view of Ute mountain and the plateau, especially with T-storms and sunsets. Site was very flat with water/power/sewer. Bathrooms are close, showers are great!, and there are 2 bathhouses. The wifi actually works! Campground is quiet, there are also tent campers and glampers. There is also a communal grilling pavilion and fire pit available to all; i only saw one person take advantage of the fire pit (chilly and windy in the PM). Would love to come back and explore the surrounding area further

We live half the year on the road, so I've seen a wide variety of campgrounds. This one has the cleanest facilities I have seen in a very long time. 20 minutes from Mesa Verde, 5 from Canyons of the Ancients.

Best campground ever. Staff/owners were extremely friendly, helpful and passionate about what they do. The camp sites are spacious and provide plenty of privacy. The campground is manicured daily to keep things pristine. The bathroom, shower and laundry facilities were extremely clean, warm and seemed almost brand new. They had a beautiful pavilion where you can cook or hang out around the immaculate fire pit and take in the spectacular views (no pun intended). Highly recommend this park. If I would have known how fantastic it was, we would have stayed longer. Don’t miss this beauty. Why stay in a crowded park when you can stay at this remote park that is beautiful with most of the same amenities and a lot more room to enjoy the area.

This is our second stop-through at The Views and hopefully won’t be our last. This is a well-run, well thought out park with large sites, some space, and a bunch of amenities. More important is the attitude and dedication of the owners. They work hard, are extremely accommodating, and take pride in what they have created. The facilities are pristine, indicating a real attention to detail and guest comfort. Totally recommend this place!

Everything is a matter of personal preference, but for me, The Views surpasses all other RV Parks at which I have ever stayed. Sites 32 through 49, at $55/night or $330/week, offer amazing amounts of room between sites, and the privacy that accompanies that. Even the standard sites, at $45/night, offer more space than many other RV parks. There are no swimming pools or large club houses here, just truly spectacular 360 degree views, fresh mountain air, welcoming hosts, and the quiet intimacy that comes with that. The bathrooms, which include 2 completely private full baths and a mens and womens shared bath with 3 showers in each, were spotless every time I entered them. The laundry facilities, too, were immaculately clean and fairly priced, at $2/load for each machine. There is a common-use pavilion complete with propane grills and a picnic table, and a common-use firepit. The larger sites (32-49) offer their own designated firepit area with complimentary firewood. The owners, Matt and Wendy, are warm and welcoming. They live onsite, and have run this RV park for 6 years. It's very evident they take great pride in ensuring the park is well maintained and guests enjoy their stay. The park is ideally located to explore southwest Colorado...Mesa Verde National Park, The Canyons of the Ancients, Telluride, the Million Dollar Highway, Silverton, and Durango. We did all of those sites and more. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this park, and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The Views is aptly named. Situated outside Dolores in a quiet country setting, it is surrounded by lovely views. The grounds are pristine and sites are well-spaced and thoughtfully laid out with full hookups. Shade trees grace most sites, but when natural shade isn’t available, the owners installed canvas covers over the picnic tables. The showers and laundry were pristine, the owners very friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. A true gem!

Matt and Wendy run a great park with friendly camp hosts. They take such great pride in this place that they rake each spot between campers. The cell access is better higher up in the park (east) and there is a tower close by in Dolores. We work remotely and at&t is good for zoom and streaming. Don’t use the wifi so can’t comment on those speeds. We spend 1 month each in the spring and fall here we like it so much. The bathrooms are really nice and the laundry is always clean with 2 washers and 2 dryers. There is 1 mike dirt trail for hiking the dog, SUP for use onsite. The real beauty of this park is the well spaced sites like a state park. Sites 44-45 have the best views towards Ship Rock, NM (see picture) but most of the sites are good with picnic tables and some shade. There is a shared pavilion with grill, picnic table and room for 10 or more. We use it all the time for shared dinners with other rvers. This area of CO is a hidden gem and the park is the same. Great biking (boggy draw, phil’s world, sage hen, durango 1hr away) hiking, SUP on the reservoir. Telluride is close and so is Ouray, Ridgway, Durango, Mesa Verde, Canyon of the Ancients and only a few hours from Moab, Fruita and Goosenecks. There is great food in Dolores too: The Brewery has pizzas on the weekends, Mi Tequila for mexican, a Cidery but best of all is the Dolores Grocery Store. Fresh baked goodies galore (tri berry crisp pie and lots of snack bars), sandwiches, fresh fish on Thursdays (including sashimi grade fresh steelhead trout), good meat selection and a veggie cave with all kinds of fresh and local produce (heirloom tomatoes) delivered on Fridays.

We wanted to get away from the Texas heat and get up into CO and needed a place we could work from until the weekend. This place is beautiful! The grounds at The Views are extremely well taken care of, the spots are huge and not on top of each other. They have a pavilion I worked from for hours on end and have a nice little trail along the property. The entire experience was great and would highly recommend checking it out. The owners Matt and Wendy should be really proud of this park and you can tell they really want to make your stay enjoyable. They also sell these gluten free s’mores kits in the office - don’t miss buying these. The wifi was hit or miss - when it worked, it worked well. We were at the bottom of the hill so I understand there isn’t much they could do. We did get AT&T cell phone coverage but it would toggle back and forth between 5G and LTE. It worked great on 5G but almost not at all on LTE. Working there with a reliable connection was a bit of a challenge but “The Views” made up for it. 😜

It’s name says it all…the views are amazing! Close to Mesa Verde NP, which was our main purpose for visiting. Peaceful place to stay with very nice bathhouses and facilities.

We loved our stay here, by far one of our favorite commercial parks ever. The sites are large and well spaced, lots are shaded. Everything is very clean, the laundry and bathroom facilities were very nice. There are some walking trails in undeveloped parts of the property - a great place to walk the dog. The campground is situated up on a hill and some sites have beautiful views of Mesa Verde. We did have to use our cell booster for ATT. We had two bars but virtually no usable data signal. With a booster, it was perfectly fine. There was also good campground WiFi, but I wouldn’t depend on it for work. There would be times when everyone wanted to use it that it would be slower, but for the most part it was very usable.

Nice, quiet, clean and spacious camp ground tucked in the countryside north of Cortez. Just 20 minutes or so to Mesa Verde, 5 to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument and McPhee Reservoir. Dolores is a cute little town and Cortez is a short drive away for Walmart and chain groceries. Sites have picnic tables and, if no trees, then a canopy overhead. Nice dark skies and beautiful sunsets/sunrises. Couple of short, easy trails around the park with more planned. Laundry is small, but clean and new. Showers/restrooms are spotless and spacious. Grass between the level gravel sites. The owners told me they wanted to created a park they would want to camp in. Their dedication to that mission shows. Loved my 2 weeks here.

We stayed at The Views RV Park in early May. The experience was fantastic. Very well thought out RV Park with large sites, and a fantastic view from sites 45 and 46. The facilities were very clean as was the rest of the park. Level sites, well kept grounds. There is a hiking trail through the undeveloped section of the property that made for a great evening walk. Matt and Wendy are doing a spectacular job with this park and I will be recommending it to all my RV friends! We will definitely be staying there again.
