We loved this site. We first checked in and the sweet lady there was able to get us a site on the water which we weren’t expecting. It was beautiful. The sites were small but we were able to fit our dog gates and still have room for a fire pit. The views were breathtaking especially at sunset.

I read the reviews and thought this is the place. Reserved and paid for two nights, that was a big mistake. After one night I pulled out and forfeited the second night. The site was very unleveled and after parking our pickup there was no room for chairs. No table, restroom etc. Beach was pure mud. Sites way too close, WiFi did not work any where away from office. No service t-mobile or AT&T. Ok, it is right on the ocean but that is it. Mostly permanent trailers. Look elsewhere.

We arrived pretty late, like 9:30 pm and the host was still there to meet us, even with no reservation. When we woke up in the morning we found ourselves in a waterfront spot overlooking the gulf. We paid 25, the sites have full hookup but the 30amp plug was broken. They are very close together. It was pretty quiet. There is a nice beach a few block away, with public bathrooms and a big kids playground. There are no bathrooms or showers in the campground.

We came across Old Pavilion on Campendium as we were passing through and needed a place to stay. We ended up staying 2 extra nights — the waterfront spots are killer and the sunsets are amazing! Sites are a little tight but everyone was respectful and friendly. There are not any restaurants near, so that is a little bit of a downside. We ordered Pizza from a gas station nearby & that was fine. Park owner is very sweet. She was very accommodating when we requested to stay an extra couple of nights. Would stay here again!

We started out at site number 8, inland a hundred yards, nut right near the small boat launch, which is kinda neat with all of the pelicans that feed all day long in the area. They were everywhere, and could to see. Friendly folks launching boats, cleaning fish, etc. THEN, we asked to extend our stay and Lynn told us she could put us on the "sea wall" for the remainder of our stay. This was the best group of sites. Ours was just two down from the dock/pier, where we all convened each evening to watch the sunset with a cocktail. It is a very quiet place, with probably a 50/50 split of seasonal vs. transients. Big rigs fit, no problem. (we have a 36 foot Tiffin Class A). Overall, wonderful place to relax. Just don't take our spot when we roll back through.
