Head towards the visitor's hub up the street where you can get complimentary water and a disposal site. The location is notorious for its exorbitant prices and dilapidated condition.

Don't come in the drive with your rv you might lose it in one of the many pot (cratters) holes. The rv office treated my wife with contempt as some as she mentioned the craters we trying traverse.

Based on prior reviews I wasn't expecting much from this stay, but I was still surprised at the state of the park. On first glance you can tell that at one point this was a popular tourist attraction, however it is evident that it is in desperate need of updating. Its a convenient location when traveling the I25 with long mostly level gravel sites, but that is just about it. Three sites away from our space was a large group (maybe 9 adults) living in a very old 5th wheel. At their site there were black trash bags, laundry bags, metal carparts, toys and other items all over. In addition to the 5th wheel, they also had 2 broke down vehicles parked with hoods up that were both piled high with trash, then another working vehicle pulling a flatbed trailer overflowing with black trash bags and more junk. When I say they had stuff everywhere it is no exaggeration. Have you ever watched Horders? It was that bad! There is a row of newer trailers that look to be long timers and that row was very well kept and clean, however in our section of the mostly empty park, this large group and the accumulated trash, were enough to make me never want to return. This place has some real potential, but sadly doesn't seem like its likely to be improved anytime soon.

Terry Bison Ranch was a needed stop over on our trip out of WY and into CO, and it was sufficient for our needs. The sites are pull-thrus on a mix of dirt/weeds with FHU that all worked fine during our stay. Spots were long and wide enough for our 40’ 5th wheel, and they are relatively level. There is very little space between sites and not much for privacy. This is a kind of touristy place, but since we were passing through, we didn’t experience much of it. TBR is about 10 miles from Cheyenne with plenty of restaurants, gas, and other useful amenities, and they offer restaurants and a store on site. There is plenty of room to walk a dog, and despite being relatively full and near the highway, noise was not an issue. Their WiFi seemed to work well enough, and our Verizon did also, without the booster. Overall this CG felt just OK, a little run-down, a little dirty (trash here and there), but it’s totally fine for an overnight. Our rate of $28 reflects the Passport America discount ($24 + 16% sales tax).

Nice folks and the the hookups all functioned without any problems. That is really all you need for decent camping. Generally clean. Unfortunately, the grass is all weeds. Sites: Sites are gravel with small grass/weeds outdoor area. Generally level. Spots are a bit close together. Food: There is some food on site (cafe and a buffet restaurant). Location: Within 10-15 minutes of town for gas and other food options WiFi: Free WiFi but not sufficient for much more than a Google search of what is in the area.

Extremely rude staff at the check in and gift store counter! Considering this is what it is, you would expect a smile or even a welcome.( in our case even an apology would of gone a long way) We were supposed to stay much longer but left because they were so rude in the process of finding our reservation which was made 2 months prior. I have never seen such rude customer service!

We thought this place was adequate for one overnight until about an hour after we left. We started finding moths in our motorhome. We kept shooing them out the window then realized there was a whole bunch. 5 days later we are still killing them and shooing them out. We don’t know how they got in, but are sure they came from the ranch. We were not that happy with the food at the steakhouse, or the quality of the sites, but this infestation put it on the bottom of our list of campgrounds. The people were nice though. Have to backtrack to get on freeway.

This is set up more like a western town with lots of touristy things to do. We were just here for overnight so didn’t check them out. We did eat at the steakhouse and were disappointed. The rib eye steak was over cooked and we had to send back two things that weren’t hot. The roads have lots of potholes and sites needed blocks. Sites close together some don’t even have tables. People were extremely friendly. So that was good. Some freeway noise but didn’t keep us awake.

Staff quick to accommodate a same day reservation in the midst of snow squall in early May on our way from Mount Rushmore to Rocky Mountain National Park. Very large campground and tourist resort off of I-25. Looked like a lot of long term residents, but we had a nice pull through site next to a few other transient campers. Looked to be a fun place to visit during peak season - has a concert venue, gift / grocery store, and lots of family friendly things to do, including a train that circles a bison corral on the property. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. Laundry room available, but did not use. Rate is with Passport America discount. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

This was a great one-night stop in Cheyenne from Colorado to South Dakota. We pulled in around 4pm and checked into our sight with no issues. Dirt sites with a bit of grass in between each. Somewhat close together but not too bad. Playgrounds were great for the kids but a little run down. Didn't bother them. We stayed in late April so it was still cold and damp. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant with live music. That was the best part. It had a great atmosphere. Was a little pricy but we splurged for experience. Spring and Summer have a lot of great amenities for families and we would come back during that time to experience them. The $28 price was a Passport America price and was a great choice for our one night stop.

We stayed at Terry Bison Ranch for 1 night on our way to Colorado. The $28 reflects using the Passport America discount. The sites were very close together and the highway noise was very evident. It was sufficient for an overnight stop.

Staff were super friendly. Onsite restaurant was open and had live music in the evening and also have a cafe serving breakfast from 7a-9a. Gravel access roads in the camp that were pretty muddy and in bad need of fresh gravel, but site was level and road noise wasn't too bad.
