Spent several days here exploring the area. Feels like you're out in the country but yet close to Branson. Full hookups worked as expected and sites were reasonably level. Cable TV was clear with a good selection of channels. Staff was friendly and everything was clean. The only minus is the poor road in the campground, but slow going made that tolerable too. We'd definitely stay here again.

The interior roads are the worst I have seen in 9 years of full-timing. Pavement is broken up, full of potholes and uneven; maneuvering into our site was a little tight. Our back-in site was heavily forested. The driveway was horrible at the roadway, you can see where numerous campers had bottomed out and gouged the pavement. Once we had checked in, paid up and were in the process of setting up, the office help came and advised us their septic system was being worked on and unavailable for use. No offer of any type of honey wagon, no offer to discount our cost, nothing. Our water source was directly behind and next to the neighbor trailer. When I tried to connect to the 50A service, I got error message on my external surge protector, so 50A was out & good thing thing the 30A worked. Even though the staff was friendly, we will never stay here again.

Tall Pines is in a great location for visiting Branson and the surrounding area. I like the new ownership and their positive attitude! The main road badly needs to be re-paved. Some of the electrical boxes are old and our had a problem. Joe, their handyman, got a patchwork fix going in short order. The pool was not working but was being redone. The old owner had let propane refilling go away and the new folks are bringing it back. I think think this is a fine place to stay with full hookups at reasonable prices in a convenient location. I wish the new owners well and we would definitely stay here again. This will be a 5-star campground down the road. One last note....site 26 has full on afternoon sun. I would opt for 24 or 25 near the front of the park or site 40 if I wanted a pull-thru near the back.
