This site has a few nice spots on the lake, but with the high number of permanent and seasonal sites it’s more of shantytown. The lady at camp store and check-in was more concerned with our 8 foot retractable leash not being at six foot, than us having a smooth and inviting welcome.

Stayed here to test out our new-to-us motorhome. Pretty easy to maneuver the grounds in our 34 foot rig although going over the covered bridge felt a little scary and tight. Most other campers were very respectful except the ones that didn't have their dogs on leashes. Not the campground's fault but I wish people would just follow the rules. We also had a neighbor that must've been somewhat deaf and watched TV on high volume until about 3 am. It was unpleasant but after buying some earplugs, I slept ok. Cell signal on all carriers is bleak where we were, which was a problem because my wife works remotely and dropped a number of calls while we were there. We have hotspots for all carriers and could only get 2 bars on AT&T and 2 bars on Verizon even with our antenna (one bar on each without the antenna). Sprint/T-Mobile was non-existent. Scenery was really nice though as we were right on the pond. A momma duck and her ducklings were the stars of the campground and we saw some swans too.

We're new to RVing and were looking for a good intro spot not too far from home. The camp hosts as well as the other staff couldn't have been more helpful with setting up our stay and throughout. Recommended which sites were the largest (due to our inexperience not the size of our rig) and which were pull throughs. When we arrived one of the park staff guided us right out to our site and asked if we needed any help setting up. I declined as I really wanted to get the process down for myself but thought it was a nice touch. The park seemed very clean and well landscaped. Bathrooms were clean and non-touch as much as possible (motion sensor soap dispenser and air hand dryers). We've booked another visit next month to bring the kids and dog. We look forward to visiting again! ps Didn't really pay much attention to how many bars we had for cell service but we were able to make the calls we needed no problem. There do seem to be some dead spots in the surrounding area if you're touring around.
