My spouse and I spent three evenings starting from the inaugural day, testing our brand new caravan. The area was incredibly tranquil as there were merely two other groups present. The abundance of avian life was delightful, and observing the ebb and flow of the tides was a pleasant experience. Our location was number 7, conveniently close to the washroom facilities without being overly proximate. While there wasn't a playground, amenities included a basketball ring and a horseshoe game area. The trail that runs parallel to the coastline was lovely. We were particularly fond of the maple tree at our spot. Both the park and the washrooms were well-maintained and spotless.

A little off the route, but not far. Well worth the detour. Grassy level spot, great management/ownership, homey feel. Mosquitoes were too bad to be outside the night we arrived, but we walked the grassy paths in the morning. Quietest place we've ever camped. Great wifi as we were opposite office.

This place is absolutely beautiful! Quiet and peaceful. We had a great view of the tidal inlet from our site. Not a good place for kids as there is no park, but great place for adults who just want to relax! We will be back again and again!

If you like off the beaten path rustic campgrounds, then this may be the place for you. The Jonesport Town Park is on a peninsula over looking the Harbor, Beals Island and Great Wass Island. Jonesport and the surrounding area is rural Downeast Maine fishing village. There is a hardware store, small grocery store, two places to get pizza and a few other shops scattered here or there. You are about a half hour to anything larger in Michias or Milbridge which are on Route One.

Small campground with friendly, accommodating owners. They shared great info about the local area. Sites are well-kept; we had a FHU back-in and felt nicely tucked away due to the privacy hedges. Basic laundry room with a washer and dryer which was all we needed. Would come back here to spend another week in Downeast Maine.
