We booked the group site via recreation.gov 3 months prior to our visit. I called 5 days before arrival to verify we could have 4 RVs at the location as there is a difference from the website to the app what is allowed there. They let us know it wouldn’t be an issue. When we arrived someone was in our spot and the camp host was unable to have them move as they got their they night before and paid. When we called the ranger they said they didn’t put out our sign until the people were already there. They did try and accommodate us and we stayed there. However the quiet times weren’t enforced by the camp host. Also the next day the other people had many other cars show up and block the main road. Which the day before the camp host said that it was strictly prohibited for emergency reasons. Again the camp host said nothing to them about the extra vehicles. We had a good time with our family on our half of the circle and the other people were fine on their half of the circle. It just was frustrating to reserve a spot to not get it, then get told quiet times and where we could park for others to do the exact opposite. We had been to this campsite before and loved it but we will not be coming back.

It looks like the Forest Service has taken an interest in improving and maintaining this site. Limited RV space, no 'permanent' residents and no trash. The trash cans were tidy, but full. the bathroom had no toilet paper. Our car uses AT&T and had connectivity (unknown level). My Verizon phone had 1 bar, my wife's Verizon phone had none. Adding our WeBoost provided us both with good connectivity.

There are a few dispersed camps along the road. They were all filled, and had people looking like they live there in trailers. The road for this particular site was one of the worse ones, deeply rutted and rough. Looks like it was a mudpit in the wet season. Disappointed as the area is gorgeous but passing the info on.
