Our stay was limited to just one night, which might have been the root of our issues. It seems like long-term guests or club members get preference for flat spots. We were given two options for spots, but neither were flat, either from side to side or front to back. It looked like they had simply thrown gravel on the ground without any attempt to make it level. Spot A10 is very close to a poorly maintained, uneven access road. As we traversed the campground, it seemed most spots were in similar condition. Considering the cost, I had anticipated a more well-kept and level campground. We spent a night at a rival campground in Memphis and plan to return there. The only reason anyone would pay these rates for this spot is its closeness to Six Flags. If this is representative of current KOA campgrounds, they have significantly declined in quality.

This is an older KOA with mature trees, lots of birds and larger sites than many KOA's. The location is very convenient for trips into St. Louis (30-35 minutes) and to the Missouri wine region of Hermann. I was disappointed in the laundry facilities as the floor was dirty and quarters weren't available on the weekend. Overall, the campground is fairly quiet except for some train traffic.

Decent place. Little store. Good pool and playground for kids. Sites were ok. Biggest issue was restrooms and showers. Seemed like the bathrooms didn't get great servicing. One shower the floor in the corner was full of dirt and hair that someone just kept missing. Toilet stall was messy one night. 30 minutes or more to Arch.

We stopped here on our way through St. Louis. We arrived at midnight and our info was on the board at the office with my name. Really nice tent site for a decent price. Nice bathhouse and the tent site had electric and water. Site was padded with mulch and had a picnic table. We fit our 2 tents in the padded area. Pretty loud campground. Lots of people, road noise and a train. Definitely worth the price for not having to find a spot and having a bathhouse.

We found ourselves scrambling to find a spot late on a Monday night after our original plans fell through. We got in after dark but had no problems getting set up. The KOA seems nice with a number of large trees and clean facilities. We only overnighted and left without checking out anything other than our site but we were happy with what we got.

We had a premium spot with a fire pit on the very edge of the campground. It felt completely private. Mid pandemic the campgrounds were 100% full with lots of get togethers. As riots raged in our cities, friendliness and old time comraderie prevailed in this packed right place. Fresh air and automatic distancing let us know we were safe. The camp store was out of almost anything edible, as we are finding to be the case everywhere we camp. So stock up on snacks and drinks at the gas stations. Wear your masks.
