Shore Forest Campground has shaded sites, heated pool, spa and weekend activities. Enjoy the snack bar, playground and game room - or fish and paddleboat on the lake!
With challenging roads to get there and 95% seasonal residents you might give this spot a lower rating, but we really enjoyed our peaceful stay here. The owners are great, the campers all very quiet. FHU with a level gravel site in the trees. Satellite didn't connect but they offer cable included in the fee - pick up box at office. Nice pool and hot tub. Fishing pond with kayaks and life vests provided. Nice and dark at night. Forest Drive is a really bad road. Whether you travel it 4 miles from the east (no thanks), or come from the west up the 2 mile 12% grade from Hwy 11, you have to go about 15 mph to avoid the worst of the deep ruts, narrow bridges, and tight turns.

We spent one overnight on our way to Maine The owners are just lovely we needed an extra water hose which they provided the place is Tucked Away in the woods super quiet we did need to use levelers on the gravel. Picnic table and fire pit, firewood available for purchase. Would stay again for sure! They have internet & cable.

At first we just needed 1 night, but then decided to do another one. It’s just a great place. It has many levels for RV; it’s hilly, for sure. Bring leveling blocks. There is a river down the trail; campground has a playground and huge fire ring!

We stayed at this CG one night as we were passing through PA to another destination. We would not stay here again. Sandy and Allen are the owners and were kind and welcoming. We received a 10% military discount. The CG is fairly small (maybe 35 sites total) but it does have full hookups. Our site was completely level, which was nice. Big rigs were in the CG although sites for them would have to be very specific (not all the sites would accommodate them). Some of the sites were located off by themselves and some were closer together. The CG was about 3.5 miles off I-81, which we could hear a little bit at night. There was a mixture of seasonal campers (mostly neat although some of the units were old). We had the weird experience of a seasonal camper who lives in his trailer (his site was next to ours). While we were sitting outside relaxing, he came in from work in the afternoon and begin sanding his truck with power tools and playing music rather loudly. After working for about an hour or so, he went back in his trailer for the evening. Very early, before dawn, he headed out to work and blasted his headlights through our camper, waking us up. Our picnic table and some of the others needed replacing (they were old and dilapidated). The bathhouse facilities were interesting: There was one large combination room with a shower/sink/toilet. It was located in the basement of the owner’s residence. It was easy to get to – and clean – but odd. One restroom wasn’t sufficient for the entire campground. Be careful as you maneuver from I-81 to the campground; deer are everywhere. We had low Verizon coverage (only 1 to 2 bars, occasionally).

Off the beaten path, quiet, and cozy. The owners are amazing, very helpful, and easy going. We will definitely stay here again, you should check it out.

Stopped by for the night on our way back home from Florida. It’s a little ways off the beaten path and I don’t know if it’s standard but there are no online booking options; just call the number and pay once you arrive. All in all, easy in, easy out. Free WiFi was great, one private shower near the main office.
