My initial plan was to spend 10 days at River's End but I ended up prolonging my stay to a full month. The road markers on the island are not very visible, so I would advise driving slowly. Checking in was a breeze and I was guided to the gravel parking space by the staff. The ground was slightly uneven but it wasn't too bad. The park is full of trees providing a lot of shade. I visited in December and January, and I found it convenient to be able to refill my propane on the premises. There's a pool which looked inviting, but it was not operational during my visit. The beach is within walking distance but other amenities require a 15-20 minute walk. Many fellow campers made use of golf carts, which are available for rent on the island, and I understood why they were popular. The laundry facilities were small but sufficient. The showers were spacious and well-maintained, although they could benefit from more storage space. The heating and water pressure were excellent. I've contemplated numerous times whether to abandon my ongoing journey and return to River's End, which speaks volumes about my experience. It was exactly what I was looking for.

The internet connectivity is extremely subpar. Carry an engaging novel as it will serve as your prime amusement.

We came for Tybee Island but more for Savanna. Our site was a pull thru that borders the street. The staff escorts you to the site. They also are on top of clean up and making everything is tip top. I would stay again for visiting the area. BTW it is 16 miles back to Savanna. My only complaint is the dinky picnic tables - like children’s size

Wonderful campground! They have plenty of staff and are waiting on you when you drive in to help lead you to your camping site. We arrived, checked in and pulled in our site within 10 minutes. It was very easy and efficient. Friendly, very helpful staff. Family oriented, close to the beach (about 3 blocks) and clean!! They have two very good sized and clean dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Just 15 minutes from Savannah. You can purchase tour tickets from the check in office. We had a great stay. I would definitely recommend this campground. We plan to return. One note: be sure and come in from around Savannah, not through it. Garmin will try to take you through Savannah.

Very clean and organized. Campsites are stacked on each other. Our neighbor’s fire ring was literally five feet from our RV. Thank goodness they didn’t have a fire while we were there. Lots of families with you f kids riding bikes and playing. Also lots of campers that were staying many days with stuff scattered all over their area.

There's nothing fancy about this park. I'd call it a clean, no frills, well-maintained facility. The staff is very friendly. The sites are level, gravelled, and provide full hook ups. Although the pool wasn't open while we were there, it did look to be clean and well maintained. The park provides a good base of oprations to visit area beaches, attractions and eateries. On the negative side, its a bit noisy - mostly traffic noise from Polk & Fort Streets. That's not the park's fault. But it does detract from the comfort of the stay.

Very close to the beach, and it’s a super small island so close to a lot of restaurants and such as well. The RV park is well kept and all the staff was very friendly. Spots are TIGHT with little privacy (not a lot of trees) but that was expected. Staff shows you to your spot upon arrival, which was nice! Washers and dryers work well and they have quarter machines. As some previously mentioned, there were some sewage-y odors on a couple days...not sure from what as there isn’t a sewage plant nearby. It wasn’t horrible and wasn’t constant at all. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall we enjoyed this campground. Quick points: - friendly and escort to site - nice pool - no playground - gravel sites that are close together - close to beach When you arrive, they escort you to your site and are very friendly. They have firewood for sale that they will bring to your site. There is a store in the office, they have a nice pool, a laundry mat, and bath houses(Which we didn’t use so I’m not sure about the up keep in them). The campground is just a walk or bike ride to the beach. Coming from a family with 5 kids under 7, there’s not much for kids to do aside from the pool. Although we did end up finding a playground that was about a mile away and it was very nice—there is a trail around it, a baseball field, and was stroller accessible. The campground is on a side street that seems to stay busy, so if you get a front site just be aware of that. But even so, we didn’t notice a lot of noise from the cars. We stayed in two different sites while we were there, one on the side street at the front of the campground (pull through and decently level, gravel) and one in the back of the campground (back in, level and gravel). The site in the back of the campground was in a dead end that had what looks like a permanent resident or two. There are two dog parks next to this campground so if you have a dog, I’d say they are much welcomed. The only cons we have for this campground are that the sites are super close to each other and there is no playground (but like I said before, that’s not really a big deal with the playground that’s nearby)

We had a great stay! The location was awesome for being active and socially distanced. The sites are small but arranged in a way that feels comfortable. The staff has been helpful and kind. I marked "would camp here again", however, we goofed up and didn't realize dogs are not allowed on any of the beaches on Tybee Island. Our fault and not a campground issue. We won't likely be back but would recommend it to anyone who asks!
