The weekend was filled with relentless rain, turning the area into a makeshift tarp city! The fact that it was a holiday weekend meant that the place was buzzing with people. The camping spots were uncomfortably close to each other. Our spot was located at the foot of a hill, adjacent to a lake, but the view was obstructed by a fence and overgrown vegetation. Two restrooms were located uphill, quite a distance away, which deterred us from using them. Our neighboring campers also opted out of using the facilities, as evidenced by discarded toilet paper I found on my side of the camp. They were camping in tents. We managed to stroll to the lake, navigating through sections of the road submerged in mud, to a small dock. Had the weather been clear, I'm certain that this tiny space would have been crowded. There were other campers along the road, but no visible restrooms nearby. We utilized the dump station, which was quite a squeeze even for our 17-foot trailer, located at a road junction. The roads were narrow, posing a problem if we had encountered another vehicle while exiting. Even reversing our vehicle was a challenge. Several areas seemed to be occupied by permanent residents, crammed together. We didn't linger in the area as we were there for an ATV trip, and had to use a trailer since the area isn't ATV-friendly.

In the early days of October 2022, we spent four nights at this location. It's tough to find affordable camping options in Maine, as it can be quite costly. We shelled out $52 plus some change for water and electricity, and there was a waste disposal facility available. However, accessing this facility was a bit tricky due to its location on an incline, but it served its purpose. The camping spots are dirt-filled with numerous tree roots. Our spot was quite challenging to navigate into, especially with our 22-foot trailer having to maneuver over the tree roots. However, it was a beautiful location. Contrary to what it seemed online, these spots are not by the water. To reach the water, one had to navigate a muddy path filled with potholes. The dog-friendly beach area was a mere four feet wide. Since we visited towards the end of the season, amenities like the dock and pool were unavailable. However, the walking trails were lovely, and the people were welcoming. Most of the campers, about 75%, were there for the season and seemed to be enjoying themselves. On the downside, the camping experience was expensive, the spots were dirt-filled with tree roots, and there were no lakeside views. On the plus side, the staff was incredibly friendly, there were beautiful walking trails, plenty of trees, and the overall environment was quite picturesque. We wouldn't mind camping there again, preferably at the spot north of ours, which faced our trailer door. We gave it a four-star rating due to the slightly inconvenient camping spot and waste disposal facility, and the cost, but that's just how it is in Maine and New England.
