Plantation Campground

A large gently sloping old forestry camp shaded by Yellow Gum, Brown Stringybark or cypress pines and well grassed.
Some sites are within a mature pine plantation. Sites are well dispersed, most well off the low use tourist road and many separated by Thryptomene and Tea-tree. Sites are suitable for tent, caravan, campervan or camper trailers, and each site accommodates a maximum of 6 people Facilities include fireplaces, tables, composting toilets, a grassed "common" and taps supplied from a dam further up the Mt Difficult range and, as well as bush showers. Grass is mown each morning by wallabies. Bird life is plentiful and varied. Campfires are permitted in designated fireplaces, you will need to bring your own wood. Take note of local fire bans which are common in autumn and summer. Walking track up to the Mt Difficult Range (756m)

Access
This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there
9.5km north of Halls Gap on Mt Zero Road; this road is unsealed and suitable for two wheel drive vehicles. From Halls Gap [C216]: North 9k on the Halls Gap-Mount Zero Rd (gravel), right (east) 100m down Pines (Fyans Cr) Rd, left 100m on signposted access road.
