This is a simple campground with kind and helpful hosts. They offer the use of the laundry room for $5 and a wheelbarrow of wood for $10. The site I chose (#13) was small and on a little incline, but it was close to the office where the wifi was supposed to be stronger. There are plenty of flatter and larger sites. This is near Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, although I did not have time to drive there. Many of the sites are close to the river (East Branch of the Penobscot), and they have canoes available to use. The wifi was not reliable, but they make that clear in the information before you confirm your reservation. I was still able to do my work, just with some technical hiccups. I was there during the week and there were only a few other groups there, and none along the river. It was so quiet. I stayed here for two nights in back-to-back weeks, and will return when I'm back in the area. This is a good alternative to another campground in Millinocket, but a bit further away from town. It was worth it to me.
