If you are in desperate need to stop for 1 night then this may be an alternative to driving forever. However, not really a good spot to vacation in or socialize. We only used it for jumping off to Huntsville or Scottsboro and other places off of US-72. Our site was closest to the highway so pretty noisy. Everything was either closed or run down. Sites were too close together, utilities were ok. A lot of TLC & $$ could make it ok even with the highway. The showers & restrooms were closed for various reasons (not because of winter). The owners didn't tell us that the week we stayed, they were on vacation and no one would be at the office all day until their son comes after 4pm to pickup trash, fill wood & LP requests. We had made arrangements for our mail to be delivered and consequently it was but picked up by mistake. Fortunately our neighbor got it and re-delivered it to us. Unfortunately the area doesn't have a lot of RV Campsite options. We tried Redstone but it was booked. Anything else was really far, Huntsville from Woodville was bad enough. If you're looking for shopping bargains the "Unclaimed Baggage Store" in Scottsboro is worth the trip. All contents from luggage ends up there from all airlines so there are some finds. If new owners buy it & improve it or the current ones get motivated then it may be worth the stay.

We have stayed here overnight en route to Smokies about 4 times. Well tended locally owned park with mostly level pull through sites, crushed stone, with full hook ups, fire rings and picnic table. Many of the sites are not widely spaced apart. The turn into park coming from Huntsville is hard to see, although the park is visible from the road after cresting hill. There is road noise. Pleasant and helpful staff. Always clean.

Got there on April 18 2021 and went to site. Hooked up power and couldn’t get anything to work. Had to get up in middle and start truck so I wouldn’t loose food in fridge and freezer. Thought it my motor and went and had it check and plugged in and everything worked. Call and they said they would check and never offered a refund.

It wasn't too bad of a park. It definitely has a run down vibe. Very friendly staff but hard time catching them in the office. I really dont feel like value is worth the price. Overall we would probably stay again in its prime this was probably an awesome campground.
