Rate reflects the coast to coast rate. Sites are on the smaller side then what we would like, but adequate. Lake Guntersville is just feet from your RV. 2 swimming pools on site one indoor one outdoor. Laundry facilities and restrooms were clean and worked well. This is a private membership campground so its not open to the public, but you can stay if you take a tour. To us it has great value. We will be back. We needed to extend 1 day due to Hurricane Ian and they arranged for us to stay additional days.

Going to their website, there is a 3-day 2-night promo if you want to experience the resort. According to the sales rep that spoke to us, this park is a 'membership only' park, which means everyone here is a member of at least one of 4 RV membership clubs. The sites are not bad for average sized RVs of all types but not so much for big rigs. Small store and diner onsite, boat ramp, swimming pool (etc.) most of the usual amenities. There is WiFi, however not high speed, but adequate for routine browsing and email, was told they are going to be upgrading it substantially in the near future.

We stayed here in the middle of a cross-country move. While the place and staff seem great, the RV's and campers are packed in like sardines. Our in-laws are with us as well, and they barely had enough room to let out their slides (one on each side) because they were so close to the campsite next to them. While the lake is beautiful and Mountain Lakes Resort offers many different amenities and full hookups (which is a huge plus), if you are looking for a place with elbow room, this isn't it.

This place may work for a lot of people, and since they are busy it must, however it isn't really our family's idea of a good time. We have kids and dogs and like having a little extra space. Unless you walk down to the lake or happen to get one of those spots, your view is going to be the backside of someone else's camper, so close that you could spit on it from your door. Stayed here because it was on our way and available via the coast-to-coast membership (friends and family).
