The primary feature of this camping area is the extensive size of the plots: barring a few in the shortened front row, all of them could comfortably fit even the biggest recreational vehicles. Despite the spacing between plots being less impressive (slightly more than standard for a private camping ground), the expansive plots gave the camping area a spacious feel, countering the fact that the tarmacked lanes running alongside each row of plots were tight. Our plot (D12) had a small lawn at the front and rear, a gravel center, a raised concrete patio, and a picnic table. Additionally, we had a fire pit made from decorative stones. A few plots had trees for shade, but most didn't. The camping area is divided from an I-10 exit ramp by a fence and a tree line, which unfortunately did little to muffle the considerable traffic noise. Most facilities are situated at the entrance. The main office houses a shop stocking a limited range of convenience goods (like ice cream and chilled sodas) and RV-related products. There's a children's pool and a standard pool, a playground, and a small mini-golf course. Laundry facilities and keypad-locked bathrooms with showers are positioned at the rear of the main office building, while the nearby clubhouse offers morning coffee and weekly activities like bingo. Close to the office is a regulation basketball hoop with a quarter-court concrete playing area that's slightly uneven in spots. We were taken aback to find that on-site dog fences, like the one we usually erect around the camper door, are not permitted: a first for us at a KOA. However, like most KOAs, there is a fenced dog park: this one has a single entrance, a sandy ground, and several slender trees which might offer shade at different times of the year. It's also well-lit at night. There are other dog-walking options besides the park: at the camping area's periphery, on the brief nature trail through the northern woodland

I showed up after the office closed but there was an envelope with my name on it waiting. The site was super long but a mix of unlevel gravel and sand. Little disappointed in the site quality for almost $100 a night but I was only here for the one night. This place seemed pretty big with friend faces. Freeway can be heard very clearly. Location is great for the freeway access but other than a gas station and a piggly wiggly, there are no descent food option around outside of a 10 min drive or so.
