Melanie, who was at the recreational vehicle registration point, was incredibly amiable and well-informed about navigating the area using the ferry and PATH network. The Statue of Liberty is visible from that spot. There's a ferry service available right at the dock, providing transport to and from lower Manhattan. Although it's a bit pricey and essentially just a parking area, the overall experience makes it a worthwhile place to stay. If I ever return to this region, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Furthermore, the fellow campers were quite sociable. The nights were generally peaceful. The round-the-clock security was a reassuring presence.

We reached quite late, and security was on the move around the area as we arrived. The registration process was smooth. The woman who assisted us was very friendly, providing us with all the necessary information, and even some we didn't realize we needed. The area is adjacent to a harbor, and from there, the Statue of Liberty is visible. It's tranquil during the night, and the towering residential buildings surrounding you impart a sense of being in the city's core, but in a positive manner and minus the noise. This area is strategically situated in Jersey City and boasts a strong sense of community with shops and eateries within a short stroll. It's not a caravan park or resort, but a parking area equipped with connections and a waste disposal station. However, if you value it for what it is, you won't be let down. #UrbanOasis

Yes it's a parking lot and not cheap, get over it; it's great for its purpose: being close to NYC. Has 50A, 30A, 20A & water at each pedestal. Getting around: Easy & close to NYC via NJ PATH train (10m easy walk, can use Metro card just as on NYC subways) or driving Holland tunnel (very close, just up the road). During times of traffic just take the train, Uber to the train station if you don't want to walk a few mins. Opinion & experience: Can see statue of liberty from front office, marina, bar / restaurant right across parking lot, coffee shop 2 blocks up. $150/nt due to weekend/holiday, but still worth every penny to be this near NYC and still have all your stuff with you. 24hr security ensuring those who come in are supposed to, zero security concerns, was great in that regard. Noise: it's the city and you have a bar/restaurant nearby. Site: gravel but in good shape. Power at my pedestal and a few others didn't work, office had no issue with me moving to another open spot -- very pleasant and easy to work with.

Stayed 3 nights. Great location. 5 blocks or half mile to path train which is 2 stops to the city. Bathrooms were decent. Just a gravel lot with water and electric. Felt safe and they do have security, cameras and in person.

The park was very easy to get to. Follow the directions on the RV Park’s Web Site. There is pavement all the way including the interior roads. Signage is adequate although not needed. You can’t go any further following their directions.. Check in was efficient and friendly and very informative. Melanie, the lady that works in the office is the best tour guide we have ever met. She will direct you to where ever you need to go! The rules are fairly basic. The most important one is letting them know you are checking out. Not hard to do. Sign the clip board that sits right outside the check in window. If you don’t check out you will be charged $40.00 via your on file credit card. Our site, A04 was a gravel back in that was just long enough for our Coach with our Towed snuggled beside it. Services (30/50 amp and water only) were to the left rear. Each site has no other amenities. Our site was flat but seriously sloped to the front. Our front wheels were off of the ground when our auto levelers finished. Overall the park was acceptable for what it was designed to do. It is not a resort. There is nothing to do inside of the park. There is no entertainment what so ever. Your neighbors will be real close but I doubt you will see much of them. The only reason you are here is to have a safe place to sleep while you visit NYC. There is very good security 24/7. We could never get the park included wifi to connect but there were other “free” wifi connections available. Verizon was mostly one bar, two on occasion. There is no Cable TV but we found plenty OTA channels. Satellite will not be difficult as there are no trees to block a signal We did not use the washrooms or showers or laundromat but we checked and found them clean. There is very close access to ferry services that will take you close to Wall Street etc. The Grove Subway Station is just an easy ten minute walk. From there, the 33rd Street Train will take you within very easy walking distance to The Empire State Bldg, Times Square, Macy’s etc. It is about a ten minute drive to the Ferry that will take you to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. There are is a Surf/Tiki Bar just across the parking lot but we did not go there. A Pharmacy is within walking distance. A grocery store is just a short drive away. We found this park to be a great base to see NYC. We paid $135.00 per night plus tax. ($579.26 for four nights) and we feel we received fair value. When you consider how convenient access to the NYC tourist attractions are it’s pretty reasonable. We will be back if in the area again.

As others have noted, the best thing about this campground is its location in Jersey City, right next to Liberty Harbor State Park. It's basically a very tight parking lot. We were so close to our neighbors we could not fully extend our awning. Electric only, they have a dump station. Didn't use their other facilities. That said, it's easy to take a short walk to the waterfront and get gorgeous views of lower Manhattan. Bikes would be the best way to explore the state park, and we chose not to take our 6 bikes off the rack since we were there to explore the city. Saw lots of bikers, dog walkers, runners, etc as we drove past the park. The water taxi dock is across from the RV lot, you have to buy your tickets online before boarding, no other way to purchase. Cheap and fast. We took the subway and PATH back to Jersey City and walked the 8-10 mins back to the campground. It felt safe enough even at 10pm. Security seemed to be very good, always someone by the entrance. T-Mobile service pretty good.

Exceeded our “parking lot” expectations in many ways. Security 24/7, friendly guards, clean bathrooms and showers, and very close to area with tons of solid restaurants. You can see statue of liberty from park, which is cool. Notwithstanding, it is a parking lot!

Yup, it's a parking lot, next to an active parking lot. Yup, it's expensive. Yup, don't expect much space around you. Yup, don't expect peace and tranquility. Yup, don't expect stellar amenities. You're likely not here for the experience of the RV park itself. And the location has so much to offer. The ferry right there to get into NYC (you can even take your bike on it), or catch the train a block away. Lots of dining within walking distance. Fantastic views around the corner. And endless scenic biking and walking. Oh, and if you lean your head just right and squint you can see the Statue of Liberty. We only stayed two nights, and we exhausted ourselves trying to make the most of the experience. We found the park to be exactly what we were expecting - no frills, great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Worth every penny for the experience. Didn't test the cellular signal or Wi-Fi - we got online enough to get what we needed done, but we were mostly out biking, dining and adventuring. After all, one of the greatest cities in the world is out your doorstep.

Definitely packed in. Positives. Great city access. Across Hudson River to Liberty park. View of Statue of Liberty. Laundry facility and showers/bathrooms. Electricity and water. Dump station. Security 24/7. Felt very safe. Staff are all helpful. Yes pricey! Travel with dogs. There is a path along marina side with grass. WiFi included.

This place is a combination RV park and boat yard. The whole place is run down and the people that work here are really rude. The bathrooms are dirty and hot in the summer. When you take a shower, you end up more sweaty than when you started. All they want here is to make money on their great location and view of the Statue of Liberty but they put absolutely nothing into the place. The entire site is run down and you feel like you are parked in the middle of a junk yard.
