We came here with no reservations and got a lakeside spot on the last Wednesday night of the season. The site was gorgeous. Right next to the lake, and the weather was gorgeous too. This would be a fantastic campsite to score in peak season, but I bet your odds of getting it are slim to none. The place is full of full season renters. Looks like a lot of folks just leave their campers here, winterized, all winter. It closes for the season on Sunday, Oct 10th, as do all the campgrounds we’ve been to in ME.
