We chose this place as it was one of the limited options available for camping in early April. I drove straight from the dealership to this campsite, marking my initial attempt at towing and our first family camping trip. The staff was extremely helpful, knowing that I might struggle with backing in, they offered assistance. Their guidance was invaluable, and they went the extra mile to teach me some backing in techniques. Despite the rainy weekend, frequent storms, and a ban on campfires due to fire marshall regulations, we still had a good time. We made good use of the available cable. The campsite was quite pleasant. During the brief periods of dry weather, our children had fun at the playground and we even got in a game of pickle ball! As we were leaving, I struck up a conversation with a regular camper who was hanging lights. He was very friendly and offered to assist me in exiting the site, which I was slightly nervous about. Instead of going right and around the campsite, he suggested I could turn left and head out. He reassured me that I could manage the left turn as he was a truck driver. He waited patiently until we were all packed and the kids were in the car, then helped me confidently make the turn. What a gentleman! We're definitely planning to return to this campsite with its friendly environment, great sites, comprehensive facilities, and reasonable pricing. Our 4-year-old is particularly excited about the cute splash pad for kids and can't wait to use it!

The location was charming, with hints of a joyous past scattered around! Our visit was in April, a time when many facilities are not yet open. The spring flowers were a beautiful sight, but remnants of winter weather could still be seen in some of the less frequented areas. The staff were polite but took a while to complete our check-in. The biggest letdown was finding out that the water at our campsite was discolored, making it unfit for drinking or cooking. It seemed like it had not been used or the pipes cleaned for a while. To add to our disappointment, the cable at our campsite was not functional. I would suggest that the maintenance team be more thorough in their responsibilities of maintaining the campsites and ensure they communicate with the office staff when things are not up to standard.

Wonderful staff . Very wooded and shaded sites which we like . Can get a bit south of the borderish and the pool gets grossly overcrowded at times on holiday weekends but other than that it’s a pretty good place to camp . Bears are in this part of NJ and we seen them very near the cg 2 times . Good cg for kids too .
