If the weather has been wet or is currently raining, it's not advisable to spend time in this area due to the mud. Despite the presence of numerous RVs, some of which are a little run-down, the location does offer pleasant river views. To improve the situation, it would be beneficial to lay gravel on the roads and sites to reduce the mud.

NEW OWNERS AS OF APRIL 2022! We stayed here in October of 2022 for 1 night as we headed S from Maine. I reserved our FHU site online and stupidly reserved for that day, not the next day that we needed. I called the office after 5 and luckily Michael picked up the phone. He corrected our reservation and was very nice! Easy to find with good signage on the roads leading to the CG. Plus there was a Wal-Mart not far away and we needed some fresh food. No one was in the office so we just went to our spot. Yes, there are a lot of seasonal RVs here - some beautiful with lovely deck / front yard areas & some junky & the front areas full of crap. But those were easily avoided as this place is huge! Lots of options for sites. There had recently been a lot of rain, so yes there was standing water in the potholes and the FHU sites very close to each other. The new owners took over the day before the camping season opened, so they are working on cleaning it up. Lots of large dumpsters (nice when you have a dog), didn’t use the facilities, easy walking around the CG. There is a small river and canal next to the CG. We were here mid-week, so it was super quiet with most of the seasonal people gone. All in all, a good overnighter.
