Honeycomb Campground

188 Campground Road
35747, Grant
Alabama, the United States

Honeycomb Campground, the popular campground and day use area owned by the Tennessee Valley Authority on Lake Guntersville, AL, re-opened in 2009.  We currently have 113 short term and long term stay sites available. Most of these sites have electricity and water. There is a dump station on site and a pumping service is available for campers who do not want to move their RV. The campground offers a newly built general store and laundry room. Our recently renovated bath houses are walk-in units offering complete privacy.

Campsite 32 was a spacious location overlooking the lake, though the gravel was a bit uneven. It featured trees for cover and patches of grass too. A forested area, perfect for dog walks, was situated across the road behind the campsite. There was a non-designated entrance to the Honeycomb TVA trail that offered a pleasant hiking experience. The campground supervisors were quite welcoming. The campground was peaceful and extremely dim at night due to the absence of street lights. This made parking a challenge after dark, but it seemed to contribute to the overall tranquility. The only downside was the outdated restrooms, with one toilet out of order.

50/30/20 electric and water on a waterfront site. No sewer hookups, but a dump station near their general store.
