We stayed here 1 night. The park is in the woods and the spaces seem really large. Each site has a nice stone fire pit. The store was one of the best I’ve seen. Plus, they make fresh pizza and deliver it to your site! After setting up we set off on the mountain trail. It was a challenging hike, but much needed after traveling for 6 hours. Wear good shoes as there are lots of rocks, large and small. The trail was clearly marked with spray paint, but we got a bit confused when we came to a gate, however we learned that you go around it and continue up the mountain. It is an out and back trail and if you want more info, it is on All Trails. Sites are mostly level, wooded and all within a short walk to the store/laundry/pool/dog park.

We were here for a week. Beautiful location! Conveniently off 81 and close to several caverns, the VA Civil War Museum, and Shennendoah National Park. Our site was large, shaded and best of all level. No leveling blocks needed. Sites are gravel, clean and well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! Well stocked store, and they will make and deliver pizza right to your campsite. Typical KOA amenities, and they have a stocked catch and release pond on site for those who love to fish. Lots of activities for the kiddos, too. The road in is a little hilly and several curves, but big rigs shouldn’t have any trouble navigating it - the signage on the road is great (funny sign on the road that said “1/2 miles Don’t Give Up.” Lol). We’re more “state park people” in that we enjoy the space and solitude and we don’t have kids traveling with us (just dogs), so we don’t typically need all the on-site activities. But this week we needed full hook ups, and this park gave us that feel. With so much to do in the area, we didn’t get to it all, so we’ll be back and we’ll definitely stay here again. Sites 65 & 67 would be great Buddy sites (there is no 66 so they face each other).

One night stop. Site was mostly level, we just needed one leveling block. Very noisy early in the morning with lots of young kids unsupervised running around our site.

My wife and I loved this campground. It’s off the beaten path, so it’s nice and quiet. Our site had plenty of shade. The campground is run by a couple and their two kids, so everything was kept clean, and they were very helpful. Camp store and amenities were great.

Lovely campground. Bath house nice, store on site. Will deliver pizza to your site. Nice shade trees and sites far enough away from each other. Level gravel pad. Fire pit made of large boulders. Lots of things for kids to do.

Clean and quiet on the edge of Shenandoah NP. We had full hookups, level gravel spot, with a nice fire pit. Small playground for the kiddos and has a heated pool.
