Gypsy Wagons

105 Malherbe Street
9707, Clarens
Free State, South Africa

Gypsy Wagons is a highly recommended property for self catering in Clarens for tourists visiting the Thabo Mofutsanyana region.

About Gypsy Wagons
Gypsy Wagons is located in Clarens and offers truly unique accommodation and the ultimate glamping experience. Each of the handcrafted gypsy wagons has her own personality, colour scheme and finishing touches and sits under majestic oak trees, offering a taste of magical gypsy life. Gypsy Wagons can sleep between two and four guests (two adults and two children over ten). They contain a Queen-size bunk bed and two of the wagons have a lower bunk for little glampers. Each wagon has its own kitchenette for preparing basic meals with traditional woodburning stove / indoor fireplace, cooking utensils. A bathroom features a full size bath and flushing toilet. (Real glampers don’t walk outside to the loo!) There are no TVs in the wagons so guests can rather enjoy the outdoors and watch the stars while seating on comfy bean bags. Rosella and Esmeralda: Rosella and Esmeralda both have Queen-size beds with down duvets, luxury linen with hand crafted throws, a full size bath, flushing toilet and a kitchenette containing a traditional queenie stove. Queenie and ThisBe: Queenie and ThisBe have Queen-size beds and a lower bunk for two children under ten. All with luxury linen, hand crafted throws and down duvets. There is a full size bath, flushing toilet and a kitchenette containing a traditional queenie stove. The wagons are all insulated keeping them cool in summer and warm in winter. The garden has swings and hammocks in the trees as well as a bohemian lounge area with a braai. • FREE Wi-Fi • Secure Parking • Garden with Swings and Hammocks The town that first enjoyed a revival when it became something of an artists' haven during the early nineties is now premium second home property. It helps that it lies in a particularly scenic spot, surrounded by Rooiberge and the Maluti Mountains a little further southeast; its tree-lined streets and enticing restaurants, art galleries and boutique style stores a reason to amble away the weekend in the town's square.
