We stayed here at the end of the season and all the sites were FF at that time. The campground sites are well spaced but most won't take a trailer over 30 and have no place to park a tow vehicle. We took a 30' double site so we had a place to park our truck. The campground was clean and well maintained. The views are limited but it is close to the lake. It is dry camping with no dump station but there is one at the campground about a mile away. We enjoyed our stay as it is very close to great hiking and the west entrance to RMNP. Grand Lake is a cute, small mountain town with a couple of good restaurants. I imagine the place would be a zoo in summer but in late September, the summer crowds are gone and the trails empty.

We stayed in this campground for access to both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. Both lakes were great for paddling and provided very different experiences. Grand Lake is lined with amazing homes, and Shadow Mountain Lake has lots of islands with water fowl. At Grand Lake, we actually launched from the Shadow Lake side (just across Rainbow Bridge on Jericho Road) and then went through the canal into Grand Lake. At Shadow Lake, we launched from the picnic area on the road to the campground. There are also several nice hikes in the area. We enjoyed site 60, but were glad we read a comment to bring our own shade.

Nice clean campground walking distance to spillway and lake. Price on app was $8. It has gone up to $25 for a single sight, $50 for a double. No hookups but water is available, just not to fill up RV. You can dump and fill up fresh water on RV for free 5 miles down the road at Stillwater campground if you stay the night at Green Ridge. No shade. You drive through residential neighborhoods to get to this campground.

Daily amount paid is with Senior Pass and further reduced because water had been shut off for the season. Camp is nestled in the Aspens, beautiful colors and the cleanest bathrooms (vault) I’ve ever seen. Several first come sites that are very level. Would be a 5 star except no water or dump station. Great location to visit Grand Lake, RMNP even Steamboat is only an hour away.

The price reflects the Lifetime Senior Federal interagency pass. We were in site 47, 45’ long and a back in site. We were able to back in our 39’ Tiffin into the site and had enough room to park our Jeep perpendicular to the front of the coach. There are no hook ups. There are flush toilets close to our side and an unthreaded water spigot in front of the restrooms. Our loop has several sites that will accommodate 40’ motorhomes. I notice trailers and 5th wheels have and easier time because they can back over the end of the site until their wheels hit the concrete bumper leaving room for parking the tow vehicle. The loop with sites 42-78 is the best loop for larger rigs. There is evidence of a lot of pine bark beetle damage but there are small trees growing between the campsites so shade is not available but if you have solar you will get plenty of sun. There is no dump station here. The dump station outside the campground near the boat ramp has been closed for a couple of years and it doesn’t look like it will open. You will have to go to Stillwater campground on Lake Granby to dump and fill your freshwater tank for a $5 fee. We use Verizon and AT&T devices. Cell signal is weak for data so I set up our Weboost RV65 system which helped. The campground is located close to several towers but surrounding hills attenuate the signal.

This is such a wonderful, well-maintained campground and it’s a 1 min (literally) walk to Grand Lake! The bathrooms (flush toilets) were so clean and the camp host, Diane, was so friendly and helpful. The campground is only 15 min from Rocky Mtn NP and 5 min from the cutest little town called Grand Lake Village. Would LOVE to stay here again for a longer period of time.
