Grant Historic Area Campground

Shaded by white trunked Mountain Gum and Peppermint, surrounded by dense montain forest and mountain views. A pleasant, quiet, isolated camp. Historic townsite well signed. Rated 4.2/5 Water tap from Jewelers Shop Mine (not reliable) at picnic area (small, slopes, no shade) 1k west . Wongunggarra or Spring Hill once had 11 streets, 20 hotels, churches, banks and shops. Heaps of bricks and broken bottles and a cemetery are all that remain.
