We booked a month in advance for a one night stay traveling back from Maine. The lady at the office is friendly but at first gave me the wrong site because she had us confused with a party of customers staying in a group, and that we were staying longer until she found our reservation. They could help themselves out by having someone guide you to your site, but maybe they are short handed like everyone else. The sites are not clearly marked and there was a large group of tent campers near us, actually on our site. We parked and were just settling in when the man on the next site knocked on our door and said we were partly on his site and that we were to close to his fire pit and he couldn’t have a fire. I explained that we were just staying for one night and he could see that part of the group of tent campers were on our site. He agreed that nothing was clearly marked. I offered to move, but it started to rain and he said that he just wouldn’t have a fire that night. Lots of campers that are rundown and look as if they permanently lived in and very noisy with no real set quiet hours. No cell service and we pulled out at daybreak and what was disappointing was that we were way back in the park with the crowd, yet there were lots of empty sites close to the front gate. We have stayed at lots of places were that’s were they keep sites for those just needing a place to rest for the night.

We averged $42 / night for W/E50. Our sunny, grass, back-in site had a nice pond on driver side but nearby neighbors on the passenger side. The site was very level. We visited many of the sites in Newport (about 1 hour) including the Tennis Hall of Fame, The Breakers, Marblehouse, The Cliff Walk, and drive along Ocean Drive. Spectacular scenery. We also visited beautiful Rogers Williams Park in Providence (about 45 minutes).
