Forest Camp North Campground

A relatively large, open, level, grassed clearing by the wide and deep lower Glenelg River.
Suit a group of >5 families camping Bush setting but with little shade. Spring brings wildflowers and orchids. Kangaroos and emus are common in the surrounding forest. Prolific bird life. Pit toilet, tank water rate 4.36/5

Access
This site is accessable by caravans in good weather.

Getting there
Situated on the northern bank of the lower Glenelg River, south-west of Dartmoor, south-east of Mt Gambier. Access from Dartmoor [A1]: South-west 12.3k on Wanwin Rd (11k sealed), bear left (south) 2.2k on Wanwin Rd (limestone gravel), right (nor-east) 3k on Wannwin Rd, left (south) 2.8k to the Fireline Track, left (east) 300m, right (south) 200m down a steep track to the river.
