The park is lovely, but the noise from the highway is a drawback. Our spot was near the lake and under an intense street lamp, which somewhat diminished the overall ambience.

In my opinion, this park is average and doesn't quite live up to the usual Sun Outdoors standards. Our visit was during the off-season, which might have influenced our experience. The lake was a sight to behold, offering tranquility and occasional activities, although not particularly child-friendly during our stay. The swimming pool was rather small, but the playground was fantastic. The overall condition of the park, including the restrooms located at the rear, felt a bit outdated. The restrooms were housed in a makeshift building, suggesting the need for a more permanent facility. The Wi-Fi connection was poor, a common issue in Sun Outdoors parks. The campground is conveniently located close to the highway, yet it's surprisingly quiet, which is a plus. Site selection is crucial as some are merely grassy and dusty areas towards the rear, while others around the lake are quite appealing.

Our accommodation was at a lakeside spot that came with a terrace. However, should we revisit, we'd opt for a location on the opposite shore of the lake where the spots are directly adjacent to the water and devoid of terraces. The spots with terraces are rather cramped, given that your outdoor space is deemed to be at the back of your vehicle, not beside it. The campsite is stunning, but it's worth mentioning that the side with the terrace spots is in close proximity to a main road. As such, one can hear and see the road traffic from these spots. The campsite's opposite side is significantly more peaceful.

Stayed here Nov of 2021. Catching up on reviews. Site type: Back-in, FHU, 50 AMP Rate of $72/night was weekly package (one night free). THE GOOD Location: Gas, restaurants, and groceries are within 5-10 minutes. Sites: paved spots. Grass living areas. Had some shade from trees, which is nice. Site: Backed up right to the lake so that extended our space a bit and we could kayak right from our site. Maintenance: Clean and nicely maintained, Office/Store: Good sized store. Some grocery items and a good amount of RV stuff. Facilities: Laundry was nice and worked as expected. THE BAD: Sites: Tightly packed, even the back-in sites. COULD BE BETTER: Kind of a party location, which isn't really our scene. Just worth noting. It did clear out after the weekend, so the partying was short-lived.

We live in Jacksonville and have taken our new RV here twice as we break it in. The park is right off of the Jacksonville beltway and an on ramp so you will hear road noise. Inside the RV we haven't really noticed any issue with noise. Cell service should be good 5G on all the major carriers since it's right on the beltway. We were able to work from the RV on our T-Mobile service without problem. They have a pretty good cafe, currently only serving takeout due to COVID. They have stopped letting day trippers in as the park recently saw an increase in COVID. I'd say they are taking the right precautions. The cafe when it's open for guests will have a Karaoke on either Friday or Saturday evening which I was looking forward to on this trip having seen it on our last visit a few weeks back, No Bueno! cafe not taking guests. The grounds are clean and they rent various water craft. We took our dogs and had no issues. They must be on leash. We did play fetch with our water toys with them and no one said anything but I believe they have a rule against it. There are quite a few full timers that live there as you will see riding around the park. I'd say if your visiting that it's not a bad place to stay however it's a bit pricey. Our close by go to is Suwanee River Music Park which has 880 acres with golf cart trails throughout the woods and edge of the river. Flamingo is basically in Jacksonville so there is that advantage depending on what your looking to do. I read mad dogs review about the noise and out of the two times we have stayed there, over the weekend we haven't had any issue with noise after 10 pm which is there quite time. I'm sure it happens but we haven't seen it yet.

Clearly the do not have or enforce any type of quiet hours. The constant noise from the highway is somewhat understandable but the lack of respect from the people is not. Noise until 11pm, ok. Noise until midnight, ok. Noise until 3 am, I’ll pass. And I’m talking about what sounded like a karaoke concert. We were supposed to stay 2 nights. We will be leaving today. Ridiculous. Skip this place.
