We were in need of a relaxing weekend and we were delighted to have spent it at Spacious Skies Country Oaks. This was our third time at this camping ground, and it's clear that the current proprietors are putting in work to enhance it. We resided in a drive-through spot number 12, which was flat, covered in neat gravel, and featured a concrete patio with a picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and a pleasing fire pit. The spot was large enough for our motorhome. All the full hook-ups with 50-amp service functioned properly. There's not much to do in the vicinity unless you're willing to drive over 45 minutes, so consider this your getaway if you're seeking a peaceful break from your regular life. The Wi-Fi connection was surprisingly good. When was the last time you could genuinely say that? In conclusion, we had a wonderful time at Spacious Skies Country Oaks and we're eager to return! THINGS I PARTICULARLY ENJOYED: The extremely friendly and accommodating staff, especially Michelle and Sadie, the well-kept and clean surroundings, and the flat, gravel and concrete spot with a small grassy area as well.

Booked a 7 day stay based on previous reviews. Did not pay attention to review dates….my bad! This look like it used to be a nice campground. Unfortunately it has many seasonals and permanent occupants and many of these permanent sites look like a dump. In all fairness Spacious Skies bought it about a year ago and they might get it cleaned up. There are a few things to note though; 1) Do not ask Ms CC to explain the additional charges on your bill….she made a mistake doing a manual calculation when we asked to move to another site. That is a long story but the way that she and her husband talks down to guests is unacceptable. I had to wait in the next level manager to resolve the additional charge. She was nice though and noticed the issue immediately. 2) the lawn person mowed between campsites with a zero turn kicking up a lot of dust. I know he had to do his job but should it be done on a Sunday before the weekend guests departure? 3) do yourself a favor…do not use the laundry. All the cloths had oil stains on it. 4) no WIFI as advertised. Got the WIFI password when we checked in but were wished good luck using it.

★★★ Quiet Getaway Weekend We went to Spacious Skies Country Oaks in Dorothy, New Jersey, for a quiet getaway weekend. This is a small and basic campground, not a resort. No fancy amenities. We stayed in Site # 14 - a pull-thru with 50-amp, water, and sewer. The hookups seemed to work just fine. There is a small concrete patio (which I like), fire ring (filled with trash from the previous camper), and picnic table. We went for a quiet weekend, so it didn’t bother us too much that there was no Wi-Fi and no cable TV. It would’ve been nice to have cable and/or Wi-Fi since it rained through most of our stay. I understand there is supposed to be Wi-Fi, but it wasn’t working. Our Verizon mobile service worked fine. And they plan to offer TV in the future. The pull-thru sites (# 12-15) are packed together so tightly that our sitting area was bordered by the hookups from the neighboring site. That’s a little unpleasant. And there are no trees for shade or privacy. Most of the rest of the sites in the campground are better spaced apart and wooded. I believe most of those sites are seasonal, but they seemed to be maintained. This was our second stay at SSCO, but first since a change of ownership to Spacious Skies a few months ago. I’m hoping the new owners make some upgrades to services and maintenance. If so, we’ll be back. THINGS I LIKED: The staff we met were all friendly and attentive - especially Kim, Eileen, and Jack Basic campground without resort-like amenities Quiet place to stay THINGS I’D CHANGE: Offer Wi-Fi Offer cable TV (this cost a star) The pull-thru sites are packed too close (this cost a star) NOTE: I try to review the places we stay based on what they’re trying to be. Resorts with water parks and lots of amenities should be reviewed differently than basic campgrounds in my opinion. Every place starts with 5-stars and loses stars for things I believe could and should be better.

We stayed 3 days. Lots of shade but we prefer no tree branches with. 40ft 13’6 rig. Stayed on loop with spaces #12-15. Loved the spot, level, quiet and enough room, though we did not have neighbors. Pool area was beautiful and game from had some great options and was open to air.

We stayed at Country Oaks Campground in Dorothy, NJ, for a 4-day weekend. We’re so glad we did! Our site (#15) was a pull-thru with 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable. The hook-ups were all well-maintained and worked fine. The site included a concrete patio, picnic table, and fire ring. The campground was clean and well-maintained. The swimming pool was large and the water crystal clear. The game room included air hockey, pinball, video games, and a few arcade games. The store was stocked with typical essentials like propane, fire wood, and snacks. Daily trash collection was a nice convenience. The staff and camp hosts were all friendly and eager to help. We especially love that. The majority of sites are seasonal which all seemed well kept. The only negative was bad wifi service. Our Verizon cell signal was strong which kept us connected. This is a great campground. Many thanks to the staff for a great stay and lots of value at Country Oaks for $65 per night. We’ll certainly go back!
