Cloud Climbing Railroad Cabin & RV Park is a campsite with 9 pitches in High Rolls, the United States. Dogs are allowed on this campsite. Besides camping it's possible to rent a rental cabin as well.
This quaint green space features a congenial team and an impressive vista. The internet connection was reliable. Although the park is located next to a highway, the nights were peaceful and our visit was pleasurable. It's conveniently located near another park that offers excellent trekking opportunities.

Cloudcroft was an awesome little discovery for us. And Cloud Climbing Railroad Cabin and RV Park was big part of that reason! Not only is the property amazingly beautiful, but the owners are incredibly nice. They let us pick apples from their trees, walked us around the property, told us about the history of the property, etc. This is truly a great spot that I look forward to visiting again soon!

We actually had reservations on the other side of white sands and it would add 2 hours to our trip. Everywhere in the little town was booked but we called here pretty late at night and they had a spot for us. Visited before Christmas and was a good 10 degrees colder but the owner waited up for us, set up lights and helped my husband back in. All hook ups are at the back so keep that in mind for hoses (our heated hose was too short so we just used our fresh water and filled up during the day). The drive is beautiful and so is the resort. The WiFi is the best of anywhere we’ve ever been! Could even stream! There is a super cute shop and restaurant just down the mountain a bit. Loved this place!

This was perfectly located between a cute small town of Cloudcroft (only a five minute drive) and larger city of Alamogordo near White Sands NP (about 30 minutes away). The road traffic can be a little noisy , but we didn’t mind or notice much except during busier hours like 7:30 am - when people were heading into the larger city for work. Sites were full hookup and relatively small- all back-in sites. We reserved last minute and my husband accidentally reserved the wrong nights. They just blocked out the correct nights and did not make us pay for the night we were not there, incredibly friendly. Area felt very safe. Loved the railroad and rustic theme. This place was just great. All pros- no cons from us! And as a bonus- we had AWESOME WiFi from our spot. Everything loaded super fast and no drops or anything. Service was hit or miss though and often dropped my calls.

Great site and great location with access to mountains and town. Friendly owners and well maintained. Very small site with only 8 (I think) spots. Easy access, back in only, with room to spread out.

Absolutely loved this campground. It is small with only 8 site but we loved that coming from a larger campground! Beautiful views and close to both Cloudcroft in the mountains and Alamogordo below. Wifi works great and they provided us with a fire pit too. Our site was a bit unlevel but the owners gave us plenty of wood blocks to help. Definitely plan to com back again, cannot say enough good things about Lincoln Nation Forest with its peacefulness and beauty!

This is a gem. It's new and not yet on all the radars, so get it while it's good. Minutes away from Cloudcroft and Alamogordo, get access to those historic, scenic locations as well as a town large enough for a Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply, Walgreens, and more. Internet is fantastic. With only 7 spots and one of the owners who knows his tech, you can get 25Mbps up/down fairly regularly, regardless of the time of day. If you're a road warrior who needs the ability to video conference, you're in good hands. Limited cell reception for T-Mobile/Sprint networks is a drawback if you need that, however. Sites aren't entirely level, so bring what you need to deal with that. No cable, but enough internet to stream even in HD. There is a trampoline and hanging chairs for parents to watch their kids burn energy and fall asleep early. The owners own much of the area around the park and there's a private trail up to a beautiful vantage point over the valley. They mention fruit picking when in season, as well as being hunter-friendly, but neither of those applied to us during our two-week stay. I hesitated to write this review because I'd hate to be crowded out of a reservation in the future, but these folks deserve your business.
