This park is on a lake and there are quite a few permanent rigs here, some even have their own docks right on the lake. It’s a very quiet park. They have a nice store, pool, laundry ($2 wash, $2 dry) restrooms and showers and a small wooded trail that is well maintained. The sites and entrance is graveled, and it rained while we were there, but there was no mud. Please be aware that they have a pretty stringent pet policy and will not allow dogs over 85 lbs and all vaccines must be current and available upon request. We were greeted at the gate and shown to our site, and instructed to go to the store to finish registering. No complaints. Easy in and easy out. WiFi isn’t great, but the cable worked fine.

We are newbies to the RV world and this couldn’t have been a better place to get started! When I made the reservation, Sonya called me right away to ask about our rig and if we were towing. We were so she made sure we had a pull through spot that would be easy to maneuver in and out of. When we arrived, we were met by the nicest woman on her golf cart. She drove us over to the spot and showed us everything we needed to know. There is a beautiful boat ramp that is available for boats, kayaks and canoes. The pool is gorgeous. The bathrooms were in pristine condition. Almost as though they had never been used. Same for the showers. It was so nice to have the amenities so that we didn’t have to do everything in our RV. In the morning, prior to leaving, we had a few glitches. One with our tow bar and one with the retractable steps. The rattle of our tool box seemed to be like a mating call because all of a sudden, men started coming from little corners of the RV park to offer their help and expertise! It was amazing! People have told us that everyone is extremely nice in the RV/Camping world and they weren’t kidding. We met some really nice folks. I forgot to mention that we went into town and had dinner at John’s Italian Restaurant. The staff were extremely nice and attentive. The food was fine. We learned that there were a couple of German restaurants nearby and if we ever return, would love to try them. STRONGLY recommend Clayton Park!!!
