There are a number of things that we really liked about this campground. First of all, the owner, Julie is such a wonderful easy-going person. Second, the campground is over the top clean. The sites were literally perfect for our 25 foot trailer and truck. So larger units may have a problem. The bathrooms are superior to anything that I have ever used on a camping trip. Simply the best. As a renovator I enjoyed checking out all the features that they installed. I would have stayed longer but we had to get home. There is only one drawback to the campground and that it is very close to main road. I slept well just the same.

Very nice campground convent to everything I was interested in. Wonderful staff, very helpful and even guided me into the spot. Normally when I am backing a spot the neighbors grab a beer and setup lawn chairs. Clean restrooms and two pools. My favorite spot in the Spearfish SD area.

To say things are cramped is an understatement. Our neighbors awning was only a couple inches away from our slide. We stayed there four nights and are still cleaning the dust out of our RV and vehicle. The sights were so cramped, that we had to hook up at a 90° angle. We could not wait to get out of there. I can’t speak to the facilities because we never used the laundry or the shower house.

We booked a side here 5 months in advance. We were very disappointed to be assigned this site. Gravel surface that was not level. Other sites had concrete pads. The electric pedestal was on the wrong side of the site. The sewer connection was at the front of the site about 45 feet uphill. The adjoining site was right next to us. Was just barely enough to open the truck door without hitting the other site's parked truck. There was an entrance to another campground a few feet from our site. ATV's and dirt bikes were in and out continuously. The noise was horrible.

There was an attempt to be cute with an outhouse in the parking lot. I just don't get it.

We were “lucky” to get a spot and the manager let us know that. Cash or check only. No 50amp left. Had to use 30amp. Management had to tell our neighbors to move their vehicles so we could get into our site. Still had vehicles in the way. Took two tries from different angles to get into site. Management did not stick around to help get us in the site. Our neighbor’s awning was six inches from our slide and our awning was six inches from the other neighbor’s slide. No place for extra vehicle parking and everyone else had extra vehicles. The infrastructure worked. But we had no picnic table and no fire pit. Packed. We had to step over the neighbor’s sewer line to cook on the truck tailgate. Just too crowded for the money. Lots and lots of loud kids and dogs. We had to stay due to Rx. Spearfish is nice.
