Excellent campground! This is our last campground as we wrap up a 73 day, 7200 mile trip that covered 22 states and 2 Canadian provinces. This was one of the most peaceful, well-maintained, beautiful campgrounds at which we have stayed. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The bath houses were very clean. The dump station is designed perfectly with a slight angle to ensure the complete dumping of our tanks. The campground is located right next to the Cherokee damn and it sits on the lake shore that is created by the dam. It is just a short drive to a number of locally owned restaurants that serve great food at reasonable prices. You are 20 minutes away from a super Walmart if you need it. Could not ask for a better place, better people or more enjoyable stay.

In general, all the TVA campgrounds are great values - good water access, well maintained, nice amenities. This one is no different. Interior sites are nice, if fairly tightly packed. Try and get a waterfront site if you can (sites 27-35) - definitely more real estate. Cherokee Lake is large and relatively undeveloped, especially around the campground. The campground is obsessed with advertising milk shakes for some reason. I thought it was a joke, but they seriously have a real milkshake machine inside the small camp store. 10 flavors and reasonably priced. I know it’s a weird thing to like about a campground, but it really brought a smile to my face. Also, cheap cups of coffee, also with multiple choices. Probably the best cell reception I’ve had at any campground - 3-4 bars on Verizon. You decide if that’s a good or bad thing. Be prepared… it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere. But if what you want is to wind down, stare at the water, maybe paddle around a bit, and have a good milkshake, it’s a great option.

We stayed only one night and it was a last minute reservation. Beautiful park and very clean. Our Verizon service was good too.

This TVA campground is one of the best maintained sites we have passed through. If you are like us and on the move, know that there is a two night minimum. Stayed here two nights and really enjoyed the stay. The campground is small and the sites are pretty close together, but laid out well to provide some privacy. Although we are self contained and didn't need bath facilities, the facilities are nice. This site is very convenient to Knoxville and Sevierville. Verizon signal was good and we had good internet access. This was the second time here since 2019 and the site was even better then the first time. Highly recommended.

We stayed here after our original park flooded. Called at the last minute and they said "Sure, we have a slot open for the night". Was able to use our Golden Age Passport for a discount. This is one of the best maintained and most beautiful place we have been all year. Swimming beach, fishing, hiking. Each site is level gravel with picnic table and fire pit. Off the beaten path and well worth the trip.
