We decided to book this place after seeing the online images and reading the reviews. However, the actual appearance was quite different from the digital portrayal. It seems like the majority of the occupants reside permanently on-site and there was no apparent attempt to maintain or clean the area. Our assigned spot was next to a mud wall, with no trees in close proximity. The place seemed aged and neglected. While the administrative personnel were quite friendly, I wouldn't choose to stay at this location again.

Stopped by to dump tanks ($20), fill water $10), and spend a few hours in front of the lake ($10). Was asked to pay $10 more if I wanted to stay for a few more hours.

The place was nice. Lots of trees, nice location. Staff were very nice. Only thing we didn't like was that it seemed that some campers lived there full time and when that happens, the site appears to be cluttered in those spots. It was cold out when we visited so we didn't want to hang out outside, place was quiet, did not appear to be poppin.

Just drove through to check it out for a future stay when visiting kids in the area. Thought it was a nice place with lots of oak trees. Some sites would be better than others as is usually the case, but sites are more spread out on terraces and not all lined up in a row. Check out site maps to get an idea of better sites, some overlooking small lakes , some higher up that might be tricky to maneuver. We would like to stay here at some point when visiting the area.

We recently stayed here for the month of December. We had reservations at a county park, but when CA went on another lockdown, our reservations were cancelled. Donna at Champagne Lakes was really friendly and found us a spot. We were not sure how long we were staying, so she let us pay by the week. We paid $404 each week for electricity, water, honey wagon (3x a wk), cable, and a pet. There is a general market and deli on site. The couple who run it make real good food at very reasonable prices. Open every day but Monday’s. Most of the people here are long term residents, but everyone made us feel soo welcome. The laundry areas were nice and clean. Open 24 hrs. We walked the property each evening. 1 lap = 1 mile. They have a propane service to fill your tanks and also do have a dump if needed. We would definitely stay here again when needing a longer term place to stay while visiting family.
