This appeared to be an ideal location to explore Mammoth Cave from. However, it didn't live up to expectations. The park is sandwiched between a busy highway, a train track, and a sewage processing facility. The former two were loud, while the latter had a foul odor. The areas were well-maintained and tidy. The employees were amicable and accommodating, and the amenities were well-equipped.

We spent a week at this location, which was consistently tidy and had friendly, accommodating staff. It's important to note that the entrance to the park can become crowded during check-in and check-out times, causing a traffic build-up. If you're stationed near one end of the park, you might hear the frequent train noise more clearly. It's something you'll adjust to, but it's worth mentioning. The sites were well-maintained and flat, with excellent fire pits, and the firewood was delivered swiftly. The area was rich with birdlife and pleasant for walks. The office provided a pool table and checkers. The Wifi service was not the best, as it tended to be overwhelmed during the morning and evening hours.

The RV park in Cave Country, located in Cave City, Kentucky, truly lives up to its excellent reputation. The staff is incredibly hospitable and the park is remarkably spotless. The lots are spacious and flat - our particular spot had just been freshly leveled. There's a great area for pets and it's conveniently located near I-65. Although there are train tracks in close proximity, they aren't disruptive or annoying - in fact, the soft rumbling is quite soothing. The lots are well spaced out and it's situated near restaurants and supermarkets. Plus, it's an ideal location for those planning to visit Mammoth Cave. We've made previous trips here and will certainly return the next time we're traveling through the southern region of Kentucky.

The place was incredibly pleasant and in excellent condition! A very warm and welcoming woman at the reception greeted me and assisted me with a minor issue regarding our GS discount. Since we were still in winter mode, the bathhouse was our go-to for showers and restroom breaks. It was spotless and had Christmas tunes playing in the background! There was no need for leveling and the premises were well looked after. If we ever pass through this area again, I wouldn't think of lodging anywhere else.

Well, we were getting used to beautiful Corp of Engineer campgrounds for $10 per night but we needed to do laundry so we stayed here. It's a very nice RV park with a nice little pool and store. The laundry room was clean and all the machines looked new and were in good working order. We visited Mammoth Caves NP and the Corvette Museum and returned to a nice, safe RV park each night. Staff was nice and friendly. Sites are gravel and level and pull-thru.

A really nice park. It was clean and the staff went out of their way to be nice. It was close to town so we could walk to restaurants when it was too hot to cook. The only negative is the there wasn’t enough shade at the site.

This was our 2nd time stopping here for an overnight while traveling. It is well maintained and level sites. Plenty of room between sites. Clean laundry and restrooms. Close to interstate. You can walk to places to eat. Discount for veterans.

Second stay here in about 7 months. The owners take such good care of this property. It really is a lovely campground. Sites level, all pull through. Cute pool and all common areas very well maintained. Quick walk to a wonderful ice cream shop and great bbq place as well. Very easy access to I-65 and we did not feel there was road noise of any concern. Easy drive to Mammoth NP as well. The Wi-Fi signal was strong as well.

It was a nice gravel site (the girls were bummed they couldn’t ride their scooters) but they made do with dinosaurs and playground balls. The camp store/office was very nice and they also had a pool table and some exercise equipment ( we didn’t use them but they looked to be in good order) We did use the laundry facilities (coin operated, very clean machines/room. We did not use the shower house but did peak in and it was also very clean. My only negative about the campground would be the noise, since the campground is very close to the highway and VERY close to some train tracks it was quite noisy but it didn’t bother us to much.

Stayed one night while traveling north on I-65. Staff, especially Jeff, were very responsive and caring. Sites are gravel and level. 20/30/50 amp Power was stable. Located close to the interstate, fuel, and restaurants, as well as several tourist attractions. There is a little noise from nearby trains and interstate traffic. The park has Good Sam, veteran and Escapees discounts. Non-same day Reservations can be made online. Same day reservations must be via phone or email. Good Sam rating or 10/10/9.5 is deserved.

I was quite exasperated! We arrived during an interlude between downpours. First we were told we had to wait 5 minutes for the escort to get back. Then, in a 5 mph zone, said escort’s golf cart never even got to 1 mph on our truck’s digital speedometer. This nice lady quickly sensed I didn’t need further help setting up in our pull thru. Set up before the storm arrived (much later than predicted as it turned out); my assessment had changed. Very nice level gravel site. Internet facilitated streaming with only rare issues. Once I got over my my initial impatience this was great.

We had the weekly rate. There is noise from the nearby overpass, interstate, and train tracks. They escort you to your site (assigned, did not choose). We positioned ourselves near the front of the site so we could open our awning not into a tree, and needed 30’ sewer to reach dump. Nice to have cable for college football. Easy on-off the interstate for quick 25-30 min trip to Bowling Green (corvette museum). Mammoth Cave was about 20 minutes away. We did not use the campground laundry facility but went to the Wash World laundromat which was clean with large machines that took credit cards and friendly staff. If visiting Mammoth Cave, recommend tour reservations in advance. Thursday was not too crowded, but Saturday tours were sold out(we made reservations the prior Monday).

This was our first trip out with our new motorhome and everything was wonderful. Nice, clean park. Nice, clean facilities, friendly staff, and good rates. Utilities worked without issue. Close enough to everything Cave City has to offer.

Stayed here one night while traveling and found the people in the office to be totally wonderful. They have a nice little campground with fairly level spots, a dog walk area, and a pool. We did not use the bathhouse facilities or the pool. The grounds are kept immaculate and there are nice flowers and plants. It was fairly quiet with the exception of being near a major road and railroad tracks. I actually enjoy being near RR tracks but some people might be bothered. Our ONLY complaint is that the water connection was so low to the ground that it made hooking our water hose with a filter attached a bit difficult. I would ask for a site that is away from the hotel that the campground is behind if you don't like a lot of light at night. Site 7 was far enough away. We would certainly stop in there again if in the area.

This park is in the perfect location when visiting Mammoth Cave NP. It sets off the highway and has the smaller RV park experience. The restrooms are extremely clean and up to date, plus a small swimming pool. There is a train that comes by frequently but it did not bother us.

The park is very conveniently located off the interstate, with an approximately 20 minute drive to the Mammoth Cave National Park. The Park is tucked behind two hotels, but the owners have planted greenery and trees to help block that view pretty well. As other reviews have mentioned, there is a pretty active rail line nearby, but I wouldn’t say it ruined the stay. Given the proximity to the interstate, there is highway noise. The owners and employees obviously care about the park. It is well taken care of from landscaping and general upkeep. There is a laundry facility, a (small) pool, and showers that are all clean. There’s a decent size dog park/run as well. Trash is picked up from your site every morning. Just leave it bagged up at the end of the interior roadway. There’s also propane service available (This is first time we have seen this offered, and I think that’s a great service to provide). Bundled wood is sold for $5 each. All sites are gravel, but are still rather level. We saw everything from truck bed campers to large class A’s pulling vehicles have no problem fitting. The only downsides I would mention are the following: -Sites are cramped. The hookups for the site next to yours will be very much in your camping area, and the same on the other side for your neighbor. This makes it awkward should you need to make adjustments or flush a tank, because you feel like you’re infringing on you’re neighbor. This didn’t end up being too much of an issue for us during our stay, since the site opposite our camp side wasn’t occupied for the majority of the visit. -Some sites have oddly placed fire rings. For example ours was at the very far end of the camp side, right on the interior road. If you like a little more privacy, site 32 isn’t for you. -Some sites have water hookups very low to the ground. This creates odd angles when trying to get water lines and filters hooked up. Overall, a great spot. If you’re planning a trip to Mammoth Cave National Park, or just need a quick stop on the way somewhere else, this is definitely a recommended park.

I stayed for three nights and had a very enjoyable experience. The grounds are well-kept and the facilities are new and clean. The campground is located just off the interstate and it’s about a 15 minute drive to the entrance of Mammoth Cave national Park. There are train tracks that pass very close to the campground but it wasn’t overly noisy. There were no train whistles, just the sound of a train rolling past. If they came by at night, I never heard them. The bathrooms are bright and clean and the Internet is super fast. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely stay again.

This is a very well kept little RV park. The owners really take good care of it. The sites are spacious enough for our 38' Class A with slides, and the pull throughs are very big rig friendly. Wi-Fi was phenomenal, with speeds capable of streaming HD video. This came in very handy on the one rainy day we spent there. Check out Mammoth Cave while in the area. Order your tickets online, because they frequently sell out for the day. If you miss out, Diamond Cavern is a nice tour. Mammoth Cave is stroller friendly, if you have small kids. Diamond Cavern is not. There are lots of little roadside attractions in Cave City. Unfortunately, some are closed down. Maybe a sign of the times. Never the less, this is a very nice little RV park. There are several full-timers staying here, and all were very clean and well maintained. The only negative thing was a bit of road noise from the highway, and perhaps a bit of occasionally passing freight train. Overall, I found it very relaxing.
