Over the course of numerous visits, typically lasting four days each, our experience at this location has been consistently pleasant. We've always met amicable individuals and the grounds are well-maintained, albeit with a bit of desert sand scattered around. The utility connections are excellent and conveniently located. Each spot offers a degree of privacy thanks to high bushes. On the premises, there's a swimming pool and a jacuzzi, as well as two designated areas where dogs can roam freely without a leash.

Our stay was enhanced by the excellent location. Luckily, we didn't bring our bicycles, as based on chats with other campers, there seemed to be a risk of theft. The amenities were kept spotless with multiple cleanings per day, and the pool and spa were well-maintained. We encountered only friendly faces. The park hosts various activities throughout the week, such as Cheeseburger Fridays, Bonfire Friday nights, and Breakfast Sundays. Like others, I believe the park could benefit from enhanced security measures like fixing the fences and installing a gated entrance. The park provides stunning mountain range vistas. It should be noted that the camping spots are somewhat tight.

Despite a minor confusion during registration where our fellow travellers were assigned to someone else's spot, the check-in process was smooth. Luckily, they didn't have to relocate. We were allocated a site without a sewer, which was acceptable, but it was situated along a stretch that bordered a public trail. On our first night, some components of our secured mountain bikes were taken. The bikes of our adjacent neighbours were fully stolen. When I reported this to the reception, I was simply told that it's a common occurrence. I was given the option to lodge a police report. If they could repair the fence, plant some shrubbery or install a privacy barrier, it might discourage theft. We also observed unfamiliar cars passing through the sites. A security checkpoint would be beneficial to prevent this. The Wi-Fi was non-functional, there was no cable service and the sites were not clean. On the bright side, the location is conveniently close to the town, hiking trails and parks.

The location is approximately 5 miles off the I-10, which comes with its advantages and disadvantages. The journey from I-10 can be a bit tedious due to traffic signals and the like, but on the bright side, the highway noise is non-existent. Aircrafts can be seen descending towards Palm Springs airport, but this usually ends by 10pm. The park itself is neat and pleasant. The hookups are conveniently located. The spots might be a bit packed, but they do provide ample space for your canopy and seats. The sites are divided by shrubbery, adding a pleasant aesthetic. The heart of Palm Springs is just a short 15-minute drive away. However, the sites don't offer sufficient length for an overnight hitch.

We utilized RPI, which made our accommodation cost $15 per night. We spent two nights and wouldn't have minded extending our stay. Our only minor issue was the absence of a picnic table at our site and our neighbor utilizing our 20 amp plug. However, it wasn't a significant issue as our stay was only for two nights. On a positive note, the staff was amicable, and the premises were impeccably maintained. We certainly plan on returning!

We had to extend our stay here for a month after we took significant damage by a wind storm boondocking north of here. They were super helpful about extending our stay to a month. Good location close to everything. Att and T-Mobile must be pretty congested as they have decent reception but slow speed. Still fine for most needs though. Decent pool and hot tub. Recommend paying for the spots with hedges otherwise your pretty open and it can get dusty. Huge spots.

We have never been to Cathedral palms RV park before but when we arrived, they put us at the front gate in their temporary lot. We booked in November and had to do an online check in the day before we arrived so I would assume they knew we were coming. I had booked a nice place in the middle of the park but they say they gave it away to someone else who was staying longer. The front gate was noisy, dusty, lacked privacy and all around was a bad setup. That coupled with minimal to no internet, no cable hookup’s and our neighbors got their bike stolen. Apparently that is not the only bike to get stolen from this “Oasis”. As we discussed with others, it became apparent that this is an ongoing theme at this park. Homeless come in and items leave with them. So unless you want to lock everything up, don’t stay here. Additionally, the staff is less than helpful. If anything happens all you get is “I am sorry” and that’s it. So they had my reservation since November, gave away my chosen site, made us sit at the front gate and didn’t even get much of a sorry. When we mentioned the bikes being stolen, their reply is it’s your own fault. Get better locks. What a great atmosphere they create here. Makes you want to come back for more…. Said no one ever!

Though it didn’t offer any pull through, it was roomy enough to back our 30ft Airstream. We’re appreciative of Dave being informative and helpful. Wifi was not functional but we could use our hotspot. No surprises with full hookups. It’s conveniently located between Palm Springs and Palm Desert.

Cathedral Palms is a nice campground, conveniently located in the Palm Springs area. The sites are level, with full hookups and nicely spaced. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that it is in the flight path of Palm Springs Airport. It is not a very busy airport, but we had airplanes passing over us every day, during daytime and early evening. Never during the night.

We've previously stayed at several other RV parks in the Palm Springs area and I think this might be our new favorite. It's not fancy, and the gravel roads and sandy sites do create some dust when the wind kicks up, but we appreciated the size of our site and the fact that it was surrounded on three sides by tall hedges. The pool area, laundry room, and bocce court/picnic tables are all basic, clean, and in working order. The office staff was excellent, the mail situation convenient, and the park itself very quiet (the surrounding area, not so much). One thing to note is that the site quality varies a lot here. The middle sites are arranged in rows of back-in sites that back up to each other. We hate this set-up because it means that our back bedroom window is looking directly into another RV. So we choose a site on the edge of the park. These "Premium" sites are a bit wider and all have hedges in the back. Some (but not all) also have tall hedges on both sides. We thought that our site (38) was one of the best.
