The positive feedback on Campendium led me to believe that this would be an excellent stop en route to Florida, and it didn't disappoint! I arrived on a particularly rainy day, so I texted them my expected arrival time and checked in early to head straight to my site. The directions to the location were clear, which is often not the case. The office and country store, along with the tenting area and playground, were on one side of the road, while the RV section was on the other. All sites were easily accessible, spacious, and well-maintained. There were no problems with the hookups, and the site featured a lovely picnic table and a large, raised fire pit. I had planned to explore the surrounding trails, but heavy rain turned the North Carolina red clay into mud, so I decided to drive to Boone, just an hour away. Later that day, I toured the property, taking several pictures, so take a look! The location is picturesque, with a creek flowing behind the back-in sites and through the tenting area. The road traffic was minimal. WiFi was available, though a bit slow, but it did support WiFi calling. Although the coverage map indicated AT&T and T-Mobile service in the area, I couldn't get a T-Mobile signal. However, using the MIMO antenna with my Nighthawk hotspot and pointing it towards the tower (behind me in spot 11), I consistently got 10-15 MBPS download and 1-2 MBPS upload speeds. I didn't try my booster, but the lack of foliage at this time of year probably wouldn't have affected it. Most sites would likely have good Starlink coverage. I stayed in pull-through site 11 for two nights from February 12-14, 2023. Booking through Campspot was straightforward, and you can choose your spot, although it's a bit late in the process.
