Stayed one night on our way through the area. The rest stop is located off the highway (not far) and in a surprisingly retail/commercial area. It’s not a large area with only about 10 pull thrus and some car parking spots (you could create a pull thru in the car area if you are a smaller vehicle). The facilities looked nice from the outside, we didn’t go in. We pulled in around 7pm and had our pick of the large pull thru areas, only 3 other rigs there at that time. But it filled up over the next few hours and trucks were parked along the edge of the lot by morning. It’s loud. You have the highway noise and main road traffic noise plus the trains and airplanes. Not a very restful night but it sufficed for a cheap stop over. If you are self-contained, I would recommend pushing on east of Bozeman and using the I-90 Livingston parking area (it looked much quieter but only had a vault toilet).

Arrived close to 8pm, plenty of spots in the car lot, quiet and felt safe through the night. Facilities not too clean but I’ve seen much worse.

With all due respect to our fellow campers/ reviewers, this Rest Area is totally inappropriate for RV's and vehicles pulling travel trailers. Before entering, there is a sign directing 1) Trucks 2) Cars with trailers 3) Cars The trucks and "Cars with trailers" are directed to the same area with the long Pull Throughs. Cars are directed to a small parking lot than can hold about 15 vehicles. One truck pulling an R-Pod, managed to create their own Pull Through in the car parking lot. They truck lot was COMPLETELY FULL! (At least 12 trucks). Even if it was not full of trucks, we have learned that it is just WAY too noisy. Hubby thought he would try to make something work where the cars were parked, however, there was no way.
